Excellent Food, we stopped for a quiet lunch and were very impressed. The decor was ckean and bright, the small touches like christmas crackers on the table were much appreciated. The menu had plenty of choice and there was also a specials board and a quick bite menu. Our food was hot and tasty and obviously freshly prepared. Decent sized portions. Gluten Free catered for so all good. This was a gem of a find, we will certainly be back.

Welcoming atmosphere on arrival with staff being friendly, Polite, helpful and professional. Room was lovely, tastefully furnished with everything you need and more. Breakfast was fabulous with amazing choice. Very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful and friendly wee hotel with great food. The room cleaning service could have been better as previous residents shorts were found in the bed. This was a very minor issue on an otherwise great trip. Beer garden is also a fantastic facility.

The accommodation felt recently refreshed - modern and unfussy. The restaurant offered a broad range of locally sourced and well cooked produce - with Specials on the menu each evening. The heart of the Ship Inn is the staff team - helpful, friendly and always ready with a smile. We are all looking forward to a return visit soon!

This was an amazing find. Excellent location. A bus stop to the city right outside. The girl that checked us in was lovely. Friendly, helpful and fun. The Bistro at the back of the pub was superb. The food was excellent. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was lovely. Well appointed. The bathroom was superb. The power shower was wonderful after a days sightseeing. There was a communal area which was useful and a nice touch. The complimentary items were an added extra. We will definitely stay again and will be recommending the Ship.

Our stay at The Ship Inn was excellent in every way. The interior décor was clean and fresh, the bedrooms very comfortable with spotless shower rooms, the restaurant very good with a menu providing variety, including vegetarian options and the staff were without exception friendly, helpful and accommodating. We would certainly recommend this establishment.

What a lovely break we had at the ship gatehouse of fleet, thank to all for making our break so memorable, Jonathan and your team went above and beyond to make our holiday fabulous the rooms were spotless, food was delicious, friendly service martin such a lovely friendly waiter you treat people in a nice manner also the friendly bar staff you know which ones, hands in doing everything, lovely young lady serving our breakfast , thankyou to you all we hopefully see you all again lesley and john

Two night stay with my wife. Excellent staff, Excellent room, Powerful shower, amazing food. Ideal place to stay to tour the surrounding area, with Gatehouse of Fleet a nice little place to visit. Had a room overlookinh the beer garden with the river at the bottom of it, great location. Would certainly stay again

Excellent, comfortable and well furnished accommodation in a pleasant small town; Interesting menus and top class food with well kept wines; (the local bottled ales were a bonus for lovers of good, local beers but a shame they were not advertised on an otherwise standard beer list. Friendly and efficient staff added to the warm and welcoming surroundings; good to see that well behaved dogs were allowed. Would love to return.
