Best Western Plus at Klamath Fall was a disappoin**ent. We wondered what the "Plus" amounted to. This hotel looked tired and in need of renovation. When we arrived the lift was out of action and we had to haul heavy luggage up stairs, no-one offered to help (and we are in our mid seventies).
If this had been a cheap hotel we would have understood but it was not. Ridiculously expensive for the standard delivered. We will avoid Best Western. Klamath Falls in future.

Every thing was broke or near so. Auto front doors shook. Elevator not working. Pancake mix not working. Wall paper falling off in bathroom. Chips and dents a plenty.

The second you walk into the hotel, I noticed the smell. The halls smell, the room smells. I am not a smell expert, so all I can say is it was overwhelmingly chemically. Our entire family commented on it.
There was a 3 ft long sticky substance across the horrible carpet. Dirt in corners everywhere. The toilet was semi-functional with a seat on it that hadn’t been replaced in far too long. A/C unit sounded like a rocket ship takeoff.
We paid approximately $750 for two nights due to “simple supply and demand.” The fact that all the wildfire firefighters and possible evacuees probably had nothing to do with it. It kind of seemed like price gouging, but we were there because of an unexpected death in the family, so we had few options.

The hotel itself was nice. It was very dirty from the front entrance to the elevator. The hallways were not clean. There was garbage overflowing in the garbage can right in front of the main entrance. The pool is in disarray. I stayed 3 nights and our room was supposed to be cleaned daily. It was never cleaned. I had to track down a housekeeper to get clean towels and toilet paper. Light switches and walls in the room were dirty. This is all very surprising to me since we are still dealing with COVID-19.

Staff were agreeable and everything worked. We were there for the annular eclipse, and staff put out dark glasses for anyone who didn't have them. Very thoughtful!
