This lovely, ornate hotel is located just steps from both the main walking avenue in this stunning city, as well as a wonderful park. The hotel boasts old fashioned decorations, pure Slovak charm, an exceptional restaurant and incredible ayurvedic spa experience

Waiters ruined wedding experience for me and my girlfriend with their unprofessional and rude attitude, worse I ever seen, what a waste. If you don't want to work there just quit. Of course stuff cannot solve your simple request, of course it's only 2* hotel at best.

Just a wonderful stay, the staff cannot do enough for you and are so helpful. Massage facilities are available as well which I used. The room was great and so comfy and the breakfast room / breakfast room was a very grand place indeed and just stunning in its decor and appearance. The staff were all great and the old town just literally a couple of minutes walk away. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful city.

Great location - few minutes walk from train station, about 3 minutes walk to the center of Košice. The hotel is located on a calm side street, though. The staff were professional, kind and helpful. They gave us great advise on what to do, see and visit in the city during our stay. :) Spacious room with a big and comfortable bed. Sleeping area and living room were separated, which was great. The accommodation was clean and cozy. Better than expected! Hotel spa was beautiful but way too small. There were not enough deckchairs and seats in the relaxing area which made it a bit uncomfortable when there were more guests in the spa. We ended up just using the jacuzzi and went straight back to our room. We were told the spa can only be visited by guests over the age of 15 but in the end there were some kids in the spa each evening. It was therefore a bit noisy but we did not mind. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome drinks :) The hotel restaurant is really beautiful, it's a winter garden with many plants, flowers and a fountain in the middle of the room. Fresh air, birds singing and quiet music playing in the background create an amazing calming a**osphere. The breakfast was also good, variable.

The Golden Royal Hotel is famous as a spa hotel when in fact during our stay the spa was closed, which greatly affected the nature of the vacation. It is very difficult to find the hotel because there is no signage in the area, we made 3 rounds until we found the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent and varied, the staff is very kind, the rooms are large, beautiful and decorated, and most importantly, clean. Overall, an excellent hotel, but the advertisement that the hotel is a spa hotel and the price is the price of a spa hotel is very misleading. If we had known, we would not have come to this hotel.

Excellent location just off the main tourist street with shops and restaurants all around, yet the street the hotel is on is quiet so you can sleep. Very grand slightly faded decor in keeping with the old town vibe. Room and bathroom were huge. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Kosice itself also lovely to visit and felt very safe.

Barátságos személyzet, tiszta, kényelmes szoba, csendes helyen, közel a városközponthoz. A reggeli is finom volt. Kár, hogy a wellness részleg nem működött.

I spent a couple weeks here, and it felt like my “Home away from Home.” A warm and friendly staff. An older hotel that has a lot of charm. I paid the extra 10€ or so a nite for the superior room, which was huge. There’s a spa & massage on site, but I never used it. It’s a 10-minute walk from the train & bus stations (adjacent to each other), and less than 10 minutes to Hlavna Street, with all the cafes & restaurants. A few restaurants are just a 2-3 minute walk away. This is a charming city. When I return, I will stay here!
