BEWARE AND AVOID Worst experience of my entire life. Booked a taxi from airport to our accommodation, at 10pm. Rang the “reception” button on the doors entry system. No answer again and again. Sat outside in the cold not knowing what to do. Myself and my son were petrified. Graffiti everywhere, drug paraphernalia in the doorway. No where to go. 2 men came out of the building (which is a polish HMO, not a holiday/family “suite” as was described. Men advised there is NO reception and the only way to get into our accommodation, was to walk to the other side of krakow, to an address we weren’t told of, to pick the keys for our apartment up!! If we hadn’t have luckily seen the 2 men, we would have been sleeping in the doorway! I have never in all my travels experienced anything like this. Apartment was warm and clean. These are the only positives I can find. The shower either didn’t have hardly any water coming out of it, or it came out that fast that it flooded the bathroom. No WiFi for a whole day. Tv wouldn’t connect to WiFi. No plug in bathroom washbasin, had to have a wash in the kitchen sink. The second day we entered the HMO and sound the only door to where our apartment was, wouldn’t open. It was broken. No way in. Luckily a local lady was cleaning the building and tried to help us. She randomly someone. Again we were sat on the steps waiting for ages until til2 workmen came and fixed the door so we could get into the apartment. When I got home I contacted my travel agent regarding the above. The accommodation manager replied with nothing but lies. Denying everything. Please do not entertain this accommodation. It is horrendous and feels like it’s off the movie “hostel” Keep children away. Drug taking in the building. No reception. No service. Petrifying experience. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY
