扎瓦迪尚西巴酒店- 全包式(Zawadi Hotel, Zanzibar)

Just returned from having spent 10 days at this resort booking at very short notice. We flew with Kenya Airways from London via Nairobi and got our visas on arrival as suggested on the Zanzibar TA discussion forum with our forms downloaded and completed in in advance of our arrival. We sailed through with our luggage collected and out of the airport within about 20 minutes of touchdown leaving those who hadn’t and those who had e-visas still queuing! This is a fabulous little Adults Only resort, expertly run by Evelyne and her deputy Noa with F&B team overseen by Bernard. The resort is kept immaculately clean and tidy by gardeners and cleaning staff and they all really can’t do enough for you. The resort is All Inclusive, food always seems to be available and is of a very good standard and all a la carte. Breakfast breads, croissants and pastries (so delicious and home made) and fruit platters are brought to your table and there is a “main course” option to choose from. Lunch has a selection of starters, a pasta dish and some mains choices, always with vegetarian options. Dinner was similar and you can have as few or as many courses as you wish (and down or upsize portion size if so inclined!) Sundowner drinks and small nibbles are brought to your room around 6ish together with the evening menu and if you’d prefer something different Chef William was always happy to oblige. Afternoon tea (if you can manage it, we never could) is served 4ish. Menus changed daily but some items did reappear over our 10 day stay. I’ve attached some lunch and dinner menus pics to give an idea. The wine selection with several types of white, red and a rose and a fizzy wine were quite decent (think £8-12 per bottle standard in the UK) and glasses were frequently topped up. We had live music from local performers at dinner a few times which we really enjoyed. We arrived late morning but were taken to our villa straight away. It was absolutely huge with a massive (at least 7’ wide) but very comfy bed together with very comfy pillows ( I’m fussy when it comes to pillows!) We were a bit concerned seeing all the mosquito netting over the bed but needn’t have been as we didn’t get a single mossie bite during our stay and didn’t see any other guests with them either, a first for us for a tropical holiday! Their was a bottle of sparkling wine and fruit platter waiting for us, such a nice touch! There’s a mini bar with full bottles of white and red wine, Coke, Fanta, Sprite , 2 types of Beer, cider, milk and soda water plus nuts and a kettle. There is a water cooler so plenty of nice cold drinking water literally on tap! The bathroom had shampoo/conditioner, body wash, liquid soap and hard soap and re-filled daily. The shower pressure wasn’t the strongest but did the job. There was a salon style hairdryer but the only place to plug it in near a mirror was in the bathroom so I was sometimes a sweaty mess after drying my thick hair as there’s no a/c in there!

Très Bon séjour d une semaine. Tout est parfait accueil chaleureux Le personnel est au petit soin avec une qualité de service. La restauration est excellente La villa est superbe et confortable avec une vue superbe.. Activité snorkeling très bien organisé Avec pres matériel de qualité Envie d y revenir Yvette et pascal

Zum Abschluss von unserer Safaritour durch Tansania wollten wir noch ein paar Tage am Meer geniessen. Bei der Auswahl vom Hotel sind wir auf das Zawadi Hotel Zanzibar gestossen. Wir wollte nicht in einem grossen Hotelbunker übernachten. Was wir dann angetroffen haben hat alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir möchten sogar behaupten, dass das Hotel das beste Kleinhotel von Sansibar und Tansania sein wird. Noch besser kann man es nämlich nicht machen. Service, Unterkunft, Anlage, Strand, Essen und Personal. Einfach topp!!! Es besonderes Kompliment gehört dem Management rund um Evelyne. Anders lässt es sich nicht erklären, wieso jeder Mitarbeiter höchst professionell arbeitet mit einem stetigen Lächeln im Gesicht.

Wer Sansibar kennt, weiss so ein traumhaftes Refugium zu schätzen! Traum Lage, sensationell freundliches Personal, wunderschöne Unterkünfte mit Traumblick, Essen wie man es liebt etc. Wenn Sansibar - dann dort. Es gibt wirklich nichts zu beanstanden!!!

Un havre de paix, calme luxe et volupté. Une adresse intime à Zanzibar. On y est chouchouté comme des membres de la famille. La direction francophone est à votre écoute, tout en discrétion. Ici tout est fait pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable. Le personnel est extraordinaire et toujours souriant. Les villas sont très spacieuses, extrêmement bien équipées et possèdent une vue exceptionnelle sur le lagon aux couleurs turquoises. Pour ne rien gâter c'est pour moi la meilleure cuisine que je connaisse à Zanzibar.

No tengo palabras para describir lo maravilloso que es este sitio. No solo por su belleza, calidad y limpieza si no por el trato excepcional de todo el staff. Es sentirse como en casa, atentos hasta en el más último detalle. Especial mención a la comida, increíble, cada día era mejor que el anterior. Enhorabuena a todo el equipo

Nous avons passé mon compagnon et moi même un séjour idyllique. Tout était parfait: le lieu est extraordinaire bien évidemment; la restauration all inclusive est de qualité bistronomique, chaque midi/soir le menu change avec toujours la touche locale du chef. Le « bungalow » si on peut appeler ça comme ça est en fait une mini villa magnifiquement bien décorée, confortable, très bien insonorisée/isolée avec une vue incroyable sur la mer. Nous avons également eu la chance de faire du paddle jusqu’au lagon bleu (possibilité de le faire aussi gratuitement via le bateau de l’hôtel) Pour finir, que dire du personnel de l’hôtel… On ressent clairement qu’ils sont là pour que vous passiez les meilleures vacances de votre vie, ils anticipent vos besoins, sont disponibles n’importe quand et sont tous d’une extreeeeeme gentillesse. Nous pourrions citer Bernard, Iddy, Ally, Mister M, Innocent et surtout Noa qui a été d’une grande aide et attentionnée tout au long de notre séjour. Le + de l’établissement est que la majeure partie des plats et cocktails sont réalisés grâce aux récoltes de leur spice farm : nous vous recommandons vivement de visiter leur jardin / ferme. En bref, si vous cherchez luxe, tranquillité et service personnalisé alors vous êtes au bon endroit! We will definitely come back! Merci pour tout. Ulysse & Pauline

We have just returned from a week at this wonderful hotel, and words really can’t describe how lovely it is. We would like to thank all the staff and apologies for anyone we have missed or spelling mistakes! Evelynne, Noa, Bernard, Razza, Issack, Ally, Hamad, Innocent, Mesdego really looked after us, the service is really genuine and second to none, nothing is too much trouble and always done with a smile. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary while we were there and the team put on a very lovely special meal for us which was really appreciated. We would also like to thank Tatu and her team for keeping our beautiful room spotless. We both had massages whilst we were there and Saphia really has magical hands the best massages we’ve ever had! Our only complaint would be the food - we have come back several pound heavier as it truly was amazing! Beautifully presented and extremely tasty with so many courses! There is a a lovely farm which you can go round and can see where all the produce is grown - just a word of warning if you do go make sure you take some food or Gilbert the goat will be very cross!!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay can’t wait to return with our girls!
