Small rooms but lovely

Kutaisi was actually my favorite place in all of Georgia and this hotel was a great base for my too-short stay. It is centrally located, beautifully restored older building, with modern, clean rooms (including fully stocked minibar and complimentary tea & coffee). It also has a fabulous roof terrace, and an excellent breakfast buffet (from memory it also does dinner, though I didn't try that during my stay). Provides a great base for exploring this surprisingly interesting, clean and very well maintained town, including because a walkaround town is largely on flat terrain - uncommon for much of Georgia. One warning, although there are thick windows, there is a lot of car horn action in the square out the front of hotel - does get noisy, including at night.

The best hotel in Georgia. Have never experienced such a warm welcome from hotel staff anywhere in Georgia. Could be 5 star hotel if they had pool or gym. Would be back again on my next visit. P.S. Special thanks to Reception Manager Nino for helping us throughout our stay.

Completed first night of our 2 night booking. Welcomed by Ms Miriam who was warm , friendly and very obliging to all our queries.She completed checkin very swifly. Mariam also personaly drew a beautiful welcome sketch for us.Hotel was exactly as shown in photographs. Room was new and exceptionally clean.Bed was very comfortable. Room was well heated . Breakfast was good. All staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use Newport for our future vacations in Kutaisi. Thank you staff and management of Newport Hotel Brian and Susan

Excellent professional staff, with an emphasis on service. Superior level of service and attention to detail, making the visitor experience both memorable and fulfilling. Multilingual reception staff are available to assist and provide an overall superior visitor experience. Guest rooms are luxurious and well-appointed.

The helpfulness of the team at reception and room service is amazing. Anything from helping us plan where to go, to fulfilling any requests within minutes. Location is a walking distance from pretty much anything you want to see or any good place to eat. The best hotel in Kutaisi for sure!
