阿雷納爾觀測站旅館&小徑(Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails)

Un site merveilleux et un aménagement paysager fantastique. Cuisine de bonne qualité. Par contre nous avons eu un désagrément à propos du site de notre chambre qui était située à 650 mètres des différents services sans qu’on nous en ait prévenu au moment de la réservation soit 4 mois avant. Un service de navette était disponible mais les inconvénients sont nombreux. Lorsque j’ai demandé de changer de chambre on m’a répondu qu’on ne pouvait pas m’aider.

Second time staying here. It was hot, so the pool was terrific! However, it was hot...and no AC in any of the buildings. But, that seriously is the only thing negative about this amazing place. Breakfast included...wonderful! The grounds are full of plants, flowers and all kinds of wildlife. The grounds are kept up so well. The trails are all designed well and easy and safe to walk on. If I could ever go here again, I would.

It was a beautiful location surrounded by nature. Views and beauty everywhere you turned. Was very quiet and didn’t feel too touristy. Unfortunately, it is a drive from anything (restaurants, stores etc). There is only one restaurant on site and we found it quite pricey. Being so far (and rough roads) from things, a fridge would have been useful as we could have brought a few groceries with us. We should have read closer about the amenities as we were surprised that there was no air conditioning. This made for an uncomfortable sleep.

Hotel avec une superbe vue sur le lac arenal et sur le volcan... Diner correct (seul bemol c'est un assez gros complexe) Petit déjeuner parfait On avait une chambre partagée qui était très bien et propre... Visite avec guide du parc le matin gratuit , c'est très bien.. Sentiers autour de l'hôtel de plusieurs km très sympa...seul endroit pour l'instant où on a vu des toucans en liberté... Hotel très bien au final

Even that to get to the property is quite a drive, I can tell you is worth it. If you are planning to stay here make sure you return back to the hotel before the sun set. It is very dark and curvy. The facility has all kind of activities and hikes. And the best part is the view they offer.

An amazing hidden gem! We almost gave up driving to this hotel due to the road conditions. But we are so glad we didn’t. Amazing trails, waterfall and breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano! Great dining experience for dinner. Prices are on par with US. Free breakfast was also amazing. Front desk personnel could be friendlier but maybe Carlos was having a rough day. He is probably better suited for a non customer facing role.

I picked the Arenal Observatory and Lodge for our first international family trip and it didn’t disappoint. My kids are three and five, but there was plenty to do for them. The playground saw a lot of action, as did the chess/checker tables. The hotel assisted in booking transportation to and from the San Jose airport, and made sure the proper car seats were provided for my kids. We aLeo asked the hotel to book a driver to take us into Fortuna for the morning and we ended up asking him to come back the next day for another guided adventure. By the end of the trip, my daughter was on a first name basis with Pablo, one of the gentlemen working in the hotel restaurant and would ask for him each meal. We had a fantastic experience and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a family friendly hotel in Costa Rica.

The hotel is huge with rooms really spread out to make you feel like it’s smaller and more intimate. Our view of the volcano was the reason we booked and we were not disappointed! The grounds are meticulously maintained and allow for lots of bird watching all over the property.

My stay at the hotel was very relaxing and pleasing. My only issue is, that the rooms should have air conditioning, and a television. The rooms do get really warm and uncomfortable. Especially if you have been out doing tours. Then, if a customer just want to relax in the room, there should be a television available.
