蓋勒拉斯酒店(Las Galeras Hotel)

It was a nice and quiet place, within walking distance of the beach and local restaurants. Sheily was great, she gave us great service. My wife and I were the only ones in the hotel then, and it was even better the whole place was for us. We loved it so much that we are planning to go back soon to take a whale-watching tour.

The hosts were kind, location is close to everything, the rooms were spacious. Breakfast every morning and kind of right at the heart of this laid-back town. This is very Independant and doesn’t have every convenience and add on of a resort or full hotel, but the family is nice and welcoming. One bummer when we were in town - they could not process a credit card for the rooms payment and the only A** in town only allowed 10,000 peso withdrawals so it was a hassle getting together enough cash to pay.

This is a small hotel with a great location, big nice and clean rooms, with mosquito net on the windows. It helps a lot. Kind staff. Fine breakfast. I had a nice stay here. And I would go back.

Es un hotel pequeño pero acogedor,tiene lo que se necesita para pasar unos buenos días. El personal es muy simpático y tuvieron pendientes nuestras necesidades. El desayuno increíble,fresco y variado. El hotel tiene muy buena ubicación,le quedan varios restaurantes cerca. Definitivamente volvería a este hotel

Built and owned by same husband and wife for many years. Have been here twice before. Very comfortable, clean, great a/c, simple pool. Located in center of town, able to walk everywhere. Very nice people, reasonable pricing. Excellent breakfast. Easy parking, do bring mosquito spray. One caution as in every hotel in DR, don't come on weekends. The dear Dominican culture, more than explodes and implodes on weekends. Noise, chaos, crowding, disarray for everything. I live here 20 years, but at times, even I forget how bad it gets. Come sunday afternoon and leave Friday afternoon. But Las Galeras Hotel and the owners are really good people and a perfect place to stay in town. They are building another one in Punta Rucia, will wait for opening and plan to stay there.

Property is very well kept, staff and Manager are very nice. Beach is not on-site but within a reasonable walking distance. Would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room but there was a common refrigerator at the bottom entrance of the unit. Nice and relaxing.

Cleanest hotel we had during our trip! Rooms are bigger and more comfortable than it looks on the pictures. AC worked great and water pressure in the shower was excellent. And hot water was available very fast. Breakfast was good and special wishes was taken care of. We can only recommend that place. Our stay was awesome.

Such a great small hotel! Johana and John were amazing, they welcome you in and made you feel like if you were home! Great service! Super nice for a nice place to go and sleep and explore Samana! Breakfast was really good!

Beach a block away. Many restaurants in the area that you can walk to. The owner of the Hotel was super friendly and helpful!
