Who would have thought that only 40 minutes up the M1 on your way to the Central Coast that we would have a hidden gem like Marramarra Lodge in our backyard. From the time you walk on to the boat ramp for your transfer to the Lodge you know you are in for something special. Aaron was our skipper who took care of our luggage which was delivered directly to our room on arrival. Aaron provided great insight into the history of the river on our way to the lodge. We were greeted by Kaley who gave a run down of the Lodge facilities as we walked to the reception. Kaley was very helpful with accommodating to move our Spa times around to meet our needs. You get to check in early and we were in our room by 10.30am. Nic and Pip are the wonderful host of Marramarra Lodge and nothing is too much trouble. You want for nothing Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is all included as well as all the alcohol you can drink. Dinner on both nights was both delicious, spectacular and different each night. French inspired and the chef was even on hand the second night to serve our table. Breakfast was healthy and tasty. Included in our package was a sunset cruise with oysters and champagned served, We also had a tour of the local Pearl Farm which was an amazing experience with the team at Marramarra Lodge packing a picnic lunch to enjoy. However, what makes this a fantastic memory is the staff who are absolute rock stars. Nothing is too much trouble. I want to call out Romina, Mel, Brooke and Kaley who made our anniversary weekend a special one. If you are looking to be spoilt or celebrate a special moment Marramarra Lodge is the place you must put on your bucket list

My partner and spend 2 nights at MarraMarra. The weather was absolutely horrible but we still had a great time because the amazing food that was served and the super friendly staff. The peninsula tents were really clean and nicely decorated. Although it is quite expensive, i really the all inclusive concept of the lodge which avoids surprises at check out. This is a amazing place to stay for a few days of quality time in nature.

Even though I've lived in Sydney for 47 years and experienced many of the City's high end locations, I'd never heard of Marramarra Lodge. When I saw the offer on Luxury Escapes I immediately knew it was absolutely ideal for my wife's special birthday especially when I realised that it was so close and we could fly there by seaplane after lunch in Rose Bay. The transition from the city to the tranquility of the Hawkesbury in 20 minutes was amazing and all a complete surprise to my wife. Marramarra Lodge and the Peninsula "Tents" are very minimalist but very high quality set in the bush overlooking the river. Chef Jerome's food is outstanding. It's like dining three times a day at 3 hatted restaurant. The service is perfect - a combination of efficiency and friendliness. Highly recommended for people who want a tranquil high class escape from Sydney

This place is not actually open until February 2024. I booked at the start of November for January. My booking was cancelled a few weeks later. 3 weeks later and I’m still waiting for my deposit to be refunded… very concerning.

We experienced 4 nights of pure indulgence at Marramarra Lodge. I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing place, which is located so close to Sydney, yet feels like you’re a world away. Our stay was perfect from the onset, starting off with a wonderful boat ride to the lodge with our skipper Aaron. We were greeted by lovely Robina who gave us a tour of the property before settling us in our room. We had the best of both worlds, staying in a luxury tent for half our stay and then the cabins for the second half. Both were spectacular, with beautiful views, comfortable beds and fully stocked mini bar replenished daily. The Lodge has lovely walking trails, a gym, billiards room, kayaks and fishing rods for guests to use. Only the cabins have a TV, but we really didn’t need it. The sound of nature was so blissful and it was a perfect opportunity to unwind from electronic devices. Our package included an oyster and champagne river cruise, a pearl farm tour with picnic lunch, and welcome cheese and wine platter. A 45 minute massage or facial was also included. Our therapist Irene was fabulous with all her treatments. The stand out for us, hands down, was the incredible service and amazing all inclusive dining experience. Every meal, we were taken on a phenomenal gastronomical journey. From our fabulous breakfast to a wonderful 2 course lunch and the simply outstanding 5 course nightly degustation menu. It was like dining at a 3 chef hat restaurant every night. Head Chef Jerome Tremoulet is a pro with extensive culinary experience. He is not only a highly skilled accomplished chef, but an absolute gentleman, who knows how to engage with his guests. His dishes are delicious, visually stunning and so creative. He uses the best produce and the menu is always changing. Stand out dishes were the tooth fish, the marron in broth, scallops, lobster tails, pork belly, the wagyu beef, lamb tenderloin, crab pasta, duck, chocolate fondant and the most gorgeous Marramarra baked cheesecake…. I could go on…. in fact every dish and matching wine was without exception extraordinary. Chef Tim is also so very talented and a perfectionist. An uprising star to watch in the food industry. Marramarra Lodge are so fortunate to have 2 brilliant chefs to spoil their guests. One cannot forget the service and management team. Managers Pip and Nick were very welcoming and kind. Nothing was too difficult for them to accommodate. Their entire team are fabulous, both front of house and those behind the scenes. A special shout out to Robina, Brooke, and Jacquie who made our stay warm and welcoming. Jacquie with her natural charm and sincerity, had the ability to make us feel like the most important people in the world, a true gem in our eyes. We were so sad to leave this magnificent Marramarra family. Chef Jerome accompanied us on our boat ride back to the wharf with skipper Ellie. We were very tempted to smuggle him in our car and take him home…. Joking… or maybe not 😉

We stayed at Marramar for 3 nights over the Easter weekend in a peninsula tent (Wallaby). The view was amazing! Whilst there were trees they did not obscure our view at all. The first night we decided to fully embrace the wilderness experience and left the sides of the tent unzipped, but it was a tad windy so we zipped up for the next 2 nights. Meals were an absolute highlight, and when I say meals I mean breakfast/lunch/dinner (which are all inclusive). But the 5 course degustation dinner with matching wines was the definite standout. Each course that Chef Jerome Tremoulet prepared for us was outstanding, and I truly believe I have never enjoyed food as much as I did for these 3 days. I splurged and had a facial and remedial massage, which were both great, my skin felt wonderful for the next week! We can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise on the Hawkesbury :-)

This has been one of the most relaxing weekends away to date. Our peninsula tent was spectacular. Waking up to the view of the river & mountains was gorgeous. The staff were accommodating & the place was so peaceful. Having Executive Chef Jerome Tremoulet cook breakfast, lunch & dinner (5 course degustation with matching wines) everyday was incredible. His food & choice of wine is next level, I can’t even describe in words just how amazing the food was. Irene the massage therapist was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Can I say that was one of the most if not the most relaxing getaway my Husband and I have had . The atmosphere was relaxing, the accommodation was fantastic and the food was sensational. The whole team were excellent with Chef Jerome preparing wonderful meals for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and pairing wines with dinner was great. Goulia , Martin & Denise were great in their roles . I am not sure I want to recommend your lovely Lodge to anyone else , so it doesn’t spoil the serenity. However I must as its too good not to share. We will be back for another visit in the near future

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a fabulous experience. The location, the food and the staff were all perfect. First the staff. Chef Jerome Tremoulet is outstanding, and the food for all three daily meals reflected his incredible international and Australian experience. The degustation dinners with matching wines were wonderful. Other members of staff that were all so impressive include Denise and Tom, Mark and Gulia and the lovely Peruvian lady who whose name, with apologies, I won't attempt to spell. The Spa was great and Irene is a treasure in more ways than one. We stayed in a luxurious Pavilion Tent, with the word tent really not properly describing it, or doing it justice. We had the sides down at night with the greatest view at dawn. Every accommodation had a great view. We also enjoyed the varied sounds coming from the bush around us. You can do as much or as little exercise as you like. However we kayaked, and at the very least, a visit to Bar Island is definitely well worth it. Bush walking is limited to the one walk up the escarpment but worth it for the view at the top, even though it is a scramble in places and directions points need to be carefully observed with arrows and cairns being used. Also there is fishing, a pool and a small gym. We will certainly return!
