The room itself was a bit disappointing, with the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel. It was so small that the door could not fully open. However, the real issue was a group that was staying in the hotel for a hocket tournament. For some reason I was put in a room in the middle of that group, who decided to make the corridor their personal gathering area at 7am on a Saturday morning. Multiple people were hanging out in the corridor, chatting, laughing, drinking coffee, while the kids were literally shooting hockey pucks in the corridor. I went out 3 times asking them to please respect other guests, but they totally ignored me. I had booked the hotel to be able to enjoy a lazy morning after my work Christmas party, but ended up leaving early to get away from the noise. The front desk was empathetic, but the manager they called in was definitely not. She offered to give me some points, which I've now seen was only 1000 - she might as well have given me a few pennies. Terrible service - do not recommend this if you want any peace or quiet.

Not really sure where to start, as there are so many problematic things with this hotel. Don't fall for the pretty pictures, it's all a facade...They spent all their effort in trying to create an image of ”style,” charging high prices while offering little substance, or anything else most need in a hotel stay... TLDR: Unsanitary room, shady business practices, false advertising, complete disregard for customer health, and horrible customer service. ROOM CONDITION/HEALTH We both woke up after our first night here with bad headaches, all stuffed up, and having trouble breathing. We weren't sure if it was because of the poor ventilation, dustiness, the rancid smell, or the nauseating perfume in the room (more on that later). My wife ended up vomiting from nausea after we left the hotel...which we did immediately, despite initially booking for several nights. If you read the reviews for the Grand Times Hotel's other location in Sherbourne (wish I had!), you'll see numerous people complaining about pungent smells and getting sick in their rooms. Apparently there's something wrong with their Air Conditioning units. It could also be the disgusting puke stench we later discovered was coming from the mini fridge. Perhaps there was black mold hidden by the pitch black paint? At first we assumed the paint colour in every room was done for stylistic reasons, but eventually realized the purpose was to conceal the poor conditions of the rooms. For a hotel trying so desperately to present itself as ”fancy” (charging $6 for bottled water??) it was surprising to see the ceiling constructed of shoddy-looking wood with large holes and gaps. HEALTH/DECEPTION Speaking of stenches, we stayed here partly because the hotel advertised itself as having ”Allergy-free rooms” and using ”Eco-friendly cleaning products.” This is the furthest thing from the truth. WARNING: If you have asthma, allergies, COPD, MCS, or any kind of respiratory condition, don't stay here! We inquired via email and phone prior to booking about whether they used fragrances in cleaning products or otherwise - on each occasion they lied claiming they did not. However, as soon as we walked into the hotel lobby we were greeted by an overpowering wave of perfume that pervades the entire hotel. Upon check-out the concierge (who was one of the staff members we initially asked) admitted they do use a defuser to spread perfume, as well as scented cleaning products in all the rooms. When we brought this up with the concierge, she merely shrugged her shoulders, and took no responsibility for wasting our time/money by deceiving us...she certainly had no concern for our health. This was unsurprising given the poor customer service experience we had upon check-in. CUSTOMER SERVICE The first concierge/manager we spoke to Sunday night kept ignoring our attempt to discuss our room requests, only saying AFTER she charged our credit card, that she didn't really understand or follow-up on said reques

I needed a hotel nearish to Terrebonne on short notice that would accommodate me travelling with a dog. The Comfort Inn offered a competitive price and easy access to the highway. I have to admit that I had seen some online reviews that were not positive, so I was expecting a mediocre experience, but I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience. The staff that I encountered were all friendly (to both me and my dog) and helpful, with a particular mention to Sabrina at the front desk. The hotel was clean, as was my room. The internet worked very well. In addition to many guests with dogs (there was a nearby dog show), there was a boys' hockey team staying at the hotel and some kind of other celebration on the Saturday night, but the hotel was quiet. There was breakfast included in my room rate and, while basic, it had eggs (scrambled and hard boiled) and sausages, cereals, a variety of breads and pastries, fruit, yogurt, and cheese. So, it did the job. I have business in this area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.
Booked a ”superior, 2 queens” at Hotel O'Laval, prepaid on *******. Ended up in a Motel Newstar room next door. Seems like they do this a lot judging by reviews so unless you are booking the fancy LED light rooms, don't expect to be in an actual hotel building. When we pulled up they had lost our reservation (and the one of the couple in front of us but they were resolved quickly) and eventually claimed ******* never sent them it. At first, we were promised a 15% refund (we prepaid)- but once he called his offsite manager, who called ******* and 30/45 minutes later had our reservation- that refund was suddenly not possible (great, thanks). We were told that the room we booked was the motel room we were given, so I don't think it was the messed up reservation that caused the swap ( I would have almost understood if they were sold out of ”our” room and the only thing they had was a motel one, but that was apparently not the case). We drove 4 hours for a concert and arrived at the hotel (sorry, motel) early hoping to relax but the nice hour+ long check in hassle really put a damper on everything. Two good things: 1. the guy at the reception was nice and spoke perfect english 2. the beds were comfy memory foam Bad: 1. all the above issues 2. no curtain or door on shower so water sprays all over the floor (every wondered what it was like to shower in bathroom where the contractor said ”ahh, good enough” and left early- here's your chance!) 3. the front door had a window beside it that had crappy slats covering it- not super comforting when changing nearby or the fact that the one bed faced it so in the morning it was very bright Anyway, don't trust a thing they say is the summary of this and check other reviews on top of the ones that show on ******* etc. The overall rating shown is very skewed because of the couple good rooms that are obviously nice and get highly rated. We were also initially thinking of renting an electric car and this was one of the places that had said it had a charging spot- but it was a faded marked spot with the charger in a garbage bag, so good thing we didn't (granted it looks like they took that off their listing now).
