聖拉菲爾鄉村民宿(St Raphael)

Our stay at St Raphael’s in the Chapel was an absolute treat! The converted nun’s holiday convent is set in a beautiful old rambling garden and full of history. The Chapel has a large, comfortable living and dining area, a well-appointed kitchen and large bathroom with a spa. There is a second bedroom and bathroom so it’s suitable for two couples or a family. Everything is clean and comfortable and hosts Maurice and Kerrie are lovely (if you are lucky enough to meet them). One of the highlights of our four days in Leura was the ‘Bygone Beauties’ Devonshire teahouse and teapot museum which is owned by St Raphael’s owners. There are literally thousands of antique teapots and every imaginable sort of modern teapot, as well as lots of antique crockery and giftware for sale. The Devonshire tea was superb and the rooms full of teapots and curious bits and pieces are amazing … you could browse for days and hours. Cann't wait to go back another time! Perfect for a couple of days in the Blue Mountains. Comfortable bed, great shower, had everything we needed. Easy to walk to Leura for coffee, shopping, walking trails.

We stayed in the Priest’s Cottage. Ideal for a couple. Plenty of space and a real homely old fashioned feel. Charming but slightly dated. Nice outdoor sitting area with table and chairs and access to huge large gardens behind the property. The owner was very welcoming and we enjoyed the offer of half price Devonshire tea and a visit to the teapot museum.
