The staff was friendly, responsive to requests The coffee shop was my favorite and they had the best dessert’s The beach is lackluster; too much seaweed not as beautiful as the Caribbean ocean; I would not return to this resort for that reason There was also a lack of beach/pool towels; limited cloth napkins in the restaurants and limited evening activities

Beautiful property. Well manicured. Almost all staff was courteous. ALMOST! Almost as if you were on an island to itself. Check in is a fictional 4:PM. Us an a whole lot others had to wait because rooms were not ready. Maybe the owner needs to hire more staff?There's a Huge seaweed pile up on the balcony side and it STINKS. Not minor stink but major STINK! Smells like a whole lot of dead fish PILED UP. Maybe the owner should do something about that? I saved the best for last. We arrived on Thursday the room wasn't cleaned till Saturday and when were got back to the room on Saturday after it was cleaned not only did we have to go begging for clean towels a clothing item was missing. Somehow my dress t shirt walked out of that room???? Not a good look. I wont be staying there ever again and i wont be recommending that place.

1st the beaches were unusable due to the seaweed but again nothing mentioned on their websites about the seaweed issue. Also was unaware of the extra fees they charge you for when you check out. There was a government fee, and a resort fee which was for room cleaning but they only cleaned my room 1 time in 5 day's, when we asked why the charge they said it was for hotel cleaning but why should we pay for this service? The staff wasnt welcoming at all, they would rather turn their heads and ignore you rather than help us. The food was terrible, no assortments or better choices for people with food allergies or vegans. There was no fruits either, this is the carribean so why no fruits? They even ran out of beer at their bar and said thats it for beer. We paid all this money for an awesome time and got nothing in return. I had to tip the staff just to get better service, I usually tip for good service but this time i was tipping for any kind of service rendered to me. This was my 1st and definitely my last time going to St. James club, what a joke and rip off. I paid for a ocean view and instead i got a view of the seaweed and the stench of rotting flesh. They moved us to a lesser grade room without the smell so we took it and they said it was an upgrade so they wouldnt refund us anything for that. The front desk seems like they hate people cause no one is ever welcoming or even offering a drink when you arrive like all the other resorts we stayed at. Dont waste your time.

The room was nice with a balcony overlooking Mamora Bay, with a lovely bed and huge bathroom. Everywhere is extremely clean and well kept. The grounds are vibrant and neat and there is no litter or mess, and the tennis courts were very nice and well maintained. Piccolo Monde Restaurant was the fine dining restaurant which you had to pay a supplement for. What a fantastic experience it was, the views, the staff, Ariana the Singer were all excellent, and the food was absolutely lovely, which made it one of the best meals we have ever had. Throughout the Resort, staff were lovely by speaking to you when they passed with a Good Morning or Hello. However the staff in the Restaurants were very hit and miss with inconsistent levels of service, from rude and lazy (which was a shame and let the resort down), to excellent. We did notice that the excellent staff were frowned upon by their Managers for speaking to us, which came across and noticed by Guests. Special mentions have to go to Damyon, Jessica, Joslin and Beverley who were all absolutely fantastic in their attentiveness, with lovely personalities, and have to say it was a joy to be served by them. Other special mentions have to go to Vernon who took the time to teach my Wife and I how to sail. Tony the Bar Tender in the Jacaranda Lounge who made us feel very welcome. A lot of reviews mention the seaweed, however for us it was an act of nature, however there were teams cleaning up the beaches, which was great to see.

Absolutely beautiful resort. Well maintained & managed. The entire staff was very friendly & welcoming from the front desk staff to the ground maintenance crews. Mamora bay beach was beautiful & there was a good selection of water craft to choose from: kayaks, SUP & peddle boards, peddle boats & sailboats. The restaurants were great too. Some had theme nights so you could pick & choose depending on your preference. The food was always good. Everynight after dinner we walked around the resort & loved the way everything was lit up across the bay & hearing the live music from docksider. There were lots of activities offered & guest services was very helpful in planning trips outside the resort. We liked the convenience of calling to have a porter come to drive one our party who was 6 montha pregnant to & from our villa when she needed. They even had a maintenance guy come at 10pm to unclog one of our toilets. We had an amazing time there & none of us wanted to leave

The problem with the Resort is the sea **** is on and it smells terrible. The resort should let people know about this condition which it effects that side of the island. You could not use the beach and who can enjoy the limited food with that horrible smell.

Nice place need renovations people are nice. AC was acting up along with the hot water in the room. Also, need to play more music around the place but overall food was great and we enjoyed ourselves!

The Resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The seaweed was a real problem you can’t use the beach and the staff and service is just ok. Maybe whiteout the seaweed I could recommend the Resort.

The staff was very friendly Ann’s accommodating. The island is beautiful. We will definitely try to make it back for another stay.
