1900旅館(1900 Hostel)

Hermoso lugar! Casona antigua con historia! Personal super amable y predispuesto! Lo mas importante en un hostal, es el ambiente que se genera! Con muchas actividades para el dia! ( bike tours, cocktail lessons, yoga, clases de ceviche etc) Instalaciones limpias, Rooftop Bar con precios económicos, cama cómoda! la experiencia en este hostal supero ampliamente nuestras expectativas! Recomiendo coordinar el arribo con el personal de recepcion, ya que otros taxis pueden costarte mas dinero. Sin duda volvería!

Notre première nuit au Pérou, dans un magnifique bâtiment (où Gustave Eiffel a participé à la conception de l'architecture). Nous avons pris une chambre privée, qui était spacieuse et avec un beau volume sous plafond. Le rooftop est sympa, avec bar, baby-foot et terrasse où chiller. Nous avions une chambre au calme, ne donnant pas sur l'avenue de la Vega (très circulante).

Si buscas donde quedarte que sea céntrico en Lima, esta es la opción. Económica, y si buscas un lugar solo para ir a dormir. Con desayuno incluido, bar, billar una casa antigua y colonial de inicios del siglo 20, con una vista increíble frente al parque de La Exposición, a 20 a 30 minutos del aeropuerto. Las personas que lo atienden muy atentas, te resuelven cualquier tipo de inconveniente.

Spent 3 nights here at the end of the trip. Hostel is in an okay sport and has easy access to a store as well as taxi's and buses. Biggest highlight was the cat that was living at the hostel. This cat just loved everyone. Hostel had a bar, breakfast, private and shared rooms, pool table, tour options and tour information, different classes and even job offers. Over all was an amazing place to stay!

I loved my stay in this hostel - I had private room(s). Initially I stayed one night and came back from Cusco and stayed two night before my flight back. Staff of this hostel were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. They helped me with all my queries I had - like, with walking tour, taking bus to Miraflore, restaurant, PCR test, taxi service beside picking and drooping off at the airport. I would go back and recommend this place mainly because of the staff. Such a nice people!! Room was basic but neat and clean. Bed was big and sheets/blankets were clean. Bathrooms were clean but at late night - paper towels were all finished and water wasn't there in the facets. I was bit annoying. I did mention this to the staff there and one night I was given a bucket with water... well,I brushed my teeth with that water... They had terrace with bar and seating area. On my last night, I did meet few interesting ladies out there. Had a wonderful time. On my first night as I was already late and it was christmas eve - I had to order food from there - Not wow! Breakfast was basic,light and just "meh"...well, u get what u pay for!!LOL Building was supposed to be fabulous but they only use one floor...still, the places they used were clean and nice. I did have pre arranged taxi service to/from the airport. It was very convenient and timely. I couldn't do PCR test in the hostel as I was late and because of the holidays but that's a nice service to have. I did a walking Lima central tour from the hostel. Christian was knowledgeable,funny,friendly and wonderful tour guide. Above all, the staff of this hostel was really really helpful. I give a big shout out to Megumi. She was such a fantastic soul. She tried helping me in everyway I asked for. Thank you!

Este hostal no te dejará indiferente con su decoración, su arquitectura francesa y la luz natural que entra por cada ventanal para dar vida a los helechos que cuelgan de sus techos altos. Realmente es un viaje al 1900 fusionado con el ambiente joven y lo más actual. Ubicado en el centro histórico de Lima, a 2 min del MALI y 25 min a la Plaza de Armas de Lima. Las instalaciones comunes son cómodas y espaciosas. Las habitaciones amplias y bonitas. Las baños que son compartidos muy limpios durante todo el día. Dispone también de una azotea con bar abierto desde las 17:00 hasta las 23:00, comedor con billar y una lista de actividades para hacer como yoga, clases de cocina peruana, etc. Desayuno correcto. Personal amable, resolutivo y atento. A tener en cuenta que la música del bar está puesta hasta las 23:00 de la noche con el volumen alto y las habitaciones no tienen buena insonorización. Almohadas muy duras. Por lo demás todo excelente.

At the beginning of a long trip I put down a deposit of one night to cover my reservation at 1900 for my last few nights in Lima. During weeks of travel my flight home was canceled and ended up leaving out of Bogota, Colombia instead of Lima. I reached out to 1900 weeks before my reservation dates and asked for a refund on my deposit. Initially, through a series of WhatsApp messages, I was told that I would receive a 75% refund through PayPal. I was told repeatedly to wait and I would see my payment but I never received the refund and communication was eventually cut off. They did not keep their word and that matters to me.

After a long flight and narrowly avoiding a sam in my taxi, I was looking forward to my stay at 1900 Backpackers Hotel. The building was beautiful. Tall hallowed halls with architecture details only found in historically maintained buildings. The check-in was simple but a bit frigid. I was shown to a dorm room down the hall. My dorm mates were furled in the corners of their bunks with nary a greeting. The spirit of the guests are more akin to the walking dead than of globe trotting travelers. I lined up for the breakfast feeling more like a prisoner waiting for the cook to plop eggs into a small dish than a guest. I somberly walked to a table trying to catch the eye of another guest. No such luck. Every person shuffled around the halls like they were sleepwalking. No one made eye contact and no one said hello. The vibe in this hostel was off… way off. While everything was clean, there was no energy, smiles or laughter. Fine place for an overnight but any longer and you might find yourself in a Steven King novel.

Experiencia fantástica. Es un hostal hermoso. Su atención y su amabilidad lo hacen todo perfecto. Sin duda volvería una y mil veces. La zona es segura y transitada. Muchos restaurantes cerca y demás. Anímense a quedarse ahí. No se arrepentirán.
