This is a very charming and unique hotel, located just next to the castle. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for many attractions of Lisbon. It’s a pleasant though uphill walk to reach the place (alternatively, taxis can access but not uber due to the historic district).

The room was great, double sink and sunken tub next to the shower, elevator was nice, but the breakfast, ahh the breakfast was great, staff was very helpful and even helped book local activities. Definitely would stay again. Lots of sights within walking distance.

Perfect location to explore the Castle and immediate area. Full of character with added interest from peacocks that treat the small courtyard area almost as home (don’t worry, effective soundproofing meant no disturb sleep). Plentiful and good quality buffet breakfast, plus honesty bar to aid recuperation in the evening. Have stayed in a sister hotel (also part of Heritage Hotels in Lisbon) which was hugely impressive, so we had high expectations. Pleased to say, we weren’t disappointed. Recommended for one or two nights peaceful indulgence.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The room and hotel were historic yet equipped with modern conveniences. The location so close to the Saint George Castle and old town was an added bonus. And the staff were polite, thorough and very accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel.

The front reception was great. The staff that put out the breakfast was also great.

The staff is amazing and respects privacy. The complimentary breakfast and snacks all day we a great addition to a long day of sight seeing. The facilities were impeccable and clean. Rooms are updated and they even provided charging stations. The hotel is an extension of the castle and feels like you are in the era. Love the surroundings of original structures. Restaurants are very close and food is amazing. There are beautiful peacocks everywhere which adds to the serenity of the place. Highly recommend staying here and worth every euro!!!

I loved this place. Here's a partial list of why: Beautiful and unique location, great welcome and support from the staff during our stay, lovely terrace, cool mini-museum in the basement, little events like a glass of sparkling of coffee on the terrace, comfy room with a killer view.
