I liked this place, honestly the lack of interaction/nobody to greet you at a desk was chill. Very clean, whole bunch of amenities too

Very, very accommodating, clear and helpful. I loved this place. A really special, unique property that is so much more interesting than a chain hotel.

The property is very clean and beautifully decorated. Maria is an absolute gem to work with and house keeping does a wonderful job. I would strongly recommend this property.

I hate to give this property such a low rating because Maria (the contact person) and the maintenance person Maria were so nice and accommodating to us when we made our reservations late in December. And I love the quaintness of the living room area downstairs as well as the cost per night and vintageness of the place. It’s also very close to the train station and downtown summit which is a very cute town with good restaurants and stores. However, the atmosphere of the Inn is very drab. The room decor and linens / comforters still feel like they’re from the 1800s. The ceilings look like there’s an issue with the roof. The room was either too hot or too cold with no way to adjust the temperature. I understand the house is old but there are ways to do upgrades and still make it all look vintage. Towels racks hanging off the wall, bathtub having trouble with the water going down, have to hold the toilet down for the water to flush fully, very creaky floors all over, patches on walls that haven’t fully been repaired. No one is in the lobby ; it’s pretty much show up and you feel like you’re alone in the house with some people walking around. In other words, it did not feel homely like other older inns I’ve stayed at like The Debary Inn in Summit or Spring Lake Inn in Spring Lake.

Refrigerator still had food. TV was really small so as an older couple there was no way to watch from bed. Rooms need work, especially the bathroom. Now that all sounds negative but it is a cute place that needs a lot of upgrading.

We had a brief overnight stay while we visited our daughter who attends Seton Hall University. This has become our go-to place to stay when visiting Seton Hall.

Convenient, great location, good communication, competitive pricing, clean, spacious, off-street parking, good WiFi, nicely decorated lobby and sitting room, could use an update.

The stay was surprisingly pleasant. I did not know what kind of property it was when I booked. So, I consider it an early Christmas gift from Santa. It would give you a feeling of your own old house home - with a hot water pipe heating system, except there is no kitchen. In the lovely downstairs sitting room, a piano is playing by itself - Chopin's Impromptu Fantasie. The charming town was decorated with lights and garlands on the evening of my arrival. The next day, the temperature was balmy - nearly 50 degrees F. Children were released from their schools when I walked around the town enjoying nice residential houses and church buildings. They were walking home in small groups without adults accompanying them: A scene I have not seen for such a long time.
