Mother's day carvery lunch. Great lunch at a very good price. Could we have a Sunday Carvery more often please. Could the friendly staff have an uniform ? Polo shirts or an apron with a logo on. It seems a shame that a little front of house matter is not sorted as a customer asked me yesterday how does this work as he was not sure if I was a member of staff !

Had to wait for twenty minutes to get booked in. Room was small and dated, and in desperate need of redecorating. Bathroom wasok, but smelt of damp . Can't comment on the food, as we didn't have any, as we ate out, with friends. Worth the money? In my opinion, Marstons need to invest, and update the place

Don't bother to go Waited 1 1/2 hours for our food Served by someone who looked as if they had just walked in from the street with his hoody on Where is your pride ? Also believe it or not fish was overcooked and I think the chips that filled most of the plate were from McDonalds Also glass of Merlot £7

What a lovely room you in the food look nice, but we didn’t have any friendly people would go again

I don't think I have ever experienced such bad service and food. Xmas day £53 what a disaster. Took hours to deliver cold poor quality food. People walked out without having food, walked out after one course and there were a barage of complaints. At one time there were 4 people waiting at the kitchen door to complain to the deputy manager who was inside. No doubt the manager was having a lovely stress free meal at home. I await my standard reply to this "Lewis TYF Sorry to read your comments we will share this with the team" The pub looks shoddy and neglected. Outside is full of ****s and needs a paint job. I hope the doors will close on this pub for good.

ROOM WAS CLEAN, WARM, COMFORTABLE. DID NOT USE THE DINING ROOM - FLYING VISIT ONLY - WILL RETURN - BEEN BEFORE. SUITED ME FINE FOR WHAT I NEEDED AND REASONABLY PRICED. NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. FRIENDLY STAFF.

The room was clean/tidy with plenty of space. Staff were friendly. The location was very close to town. Restaurant/bar on location. Ideal for a town stay.

I booked during a stressful moment and when we arrived was told the booking was for the following week but the manager so kindly changed it to there and then. We stayed here twice within a few weeks and the first booking we had a charming original room. The second booking we had a smaller room, adequate, but not as charming. Still, a good sleep was had. Great staff, a busy venue for events and the restaurant and pub. Very walkable to shops at town centre.

Overall the room was clean and tidy, although very warm. Friendly staff but limited, the evening was adequate, but no one on hand for breakfast 😕. We were told 8am, waited until 8.25 and no one opened up. We left as we had a funeral in the morning so picked up a sauage roll. The outside area for a cigerette was very untidy, no ashtrays, cigerette buts everywhere 😒
