新白獅酒店(The New White Lion)

Had 3 nights at the amazing New White Lion. We were meet by Mark and Karen the owners and instantly felt welcomed. The places is amazing great homely atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and the rooms are quite and cosy. The best bit are the Breakfasts. One of the best I’ve had. Thank you for an amazing stay. Kind regards Dave.

Stayed in the New White Lion for a couple of nights as a based to travel the area and explore. Can not rate this accom highly enough - the hosts are the most welcoming couple you can meet. Rooms are very highly appointed and extremely comfortable. Stylish and contemporary to the building, you very definitely get a sense of relaxation from the off. The day will start with a fabulous breakfast with the even the "small" Full English leaving you with no need to eat until much later in the day !. The range of choice for breakfast is more than enough for most - but if you have differing requirements just let Karen know ahead of time and she's sure to deliver.. Take the opportunity to explore with walks and history local to the area or take a short and fun drive into Swansea for some Brunch action or shopping.. Back to the accommodation you will find plenty of choice for evening drinks with the local pubs offering a selection of different atmospheres alongside a wide range of eating options in the same locale.. Not one to be missed...

Our room was really lovely and had everything we could wish for. Breakfast was fabulous and our hosts Karen and Mark were welcoming and attentive. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this for a break in Llandovery.

Fabulous stay, highly recommend as a beautiful base to explore. The rooms are exceptional, immaculate, beautiful interiors each room is individually designed, superior fresh linen and a very comfortable sleep. Great selection of toiletries. Honesty bar available in a beautiful cosy lobby room. The breakfast was simply outstanding, I would say one of the very best breakfast I have had anywhere. Fresh local ingredients and presentation and taste was super. Location is great and central to local bars in the evening having spent the day exploring the Brecon beauty. Great hosts so friendly, will most definitely be returning

Just returned from a wonderful night's stay at the New Lion Inn Beautiful historical building - lovely furnishing with such charm and attention to detail Mark and Karen were very friendly and welcoming - and so is Poppy the Dog Amazing choice at breakfast - whether you are a meat eater or a vegetarian - well cooked and beautifully presented. All local produce Parking included at the back of the B&B and the town is basically a 1 minute walk away A really lovely stay - and we hope to return one day

This is an exceptional guest house/hotel run to a very high standard by Mark and Karen. Our room (Physicians of Myddfai) was roomy and spotless. Breakfast was a great start to the day. Despite the (very wet!) weather, Llandovery and its locality provided plenty of interest and history to pursue. A most enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

We used the hotel as a base for a few cycling trips in the Cambrian mountains and Brecon Beacons. It was a fantastic stay, not only were we made very welcome, had a lovely room, with great touches such as fresh milk kept in the corridor outside, and complimentary home baked biscuits etc in the afternoon, but it was also very well equipped for cyclists with a proper storage room for bicycles etc. I would unhesitatingly recommend it for anyone looking to cycle in the Cambrian mountains or the Brecon Beacons. I'd also unhesitatingly recommend it for anyone else as its a really good base to explore this part of Wales. For cyclists - If you haven't cycled in the Cambrian mountains you should give it a go. Virtually no cars (I think 8 cars passed us on an 80km ride), stunning scenery - and some truly monstrous climbs. (Look up The Devil's Staircase as one example).

Well what can we say! If ever you are in wales and need a place to stay around Brecon Beacons area check out New White Lion in Llandovery. Honestly fantastic boutique 5 star B&B run by the lovely Karen & Mark. Breakfasts AMAZING!! Rooms have everything you need. Mini fridge in hallway is an excellent idea. Beds soooo comfortable you never ever want to get out of them. Love the attention to detail with the naming of the rooms. Wi-Fi great too. Honesty bar such a great idea if you fancy a tipple at night. Recommend The Bear pub in the high street for veggie options. Local area is stunning. Highly recommend going on a few trips suggested by Karen and Mark. We will be back.

We stayed in the New White Lion for 2 nights and if was a fantastic experience. Karen & Mark were there to greet us & made us feel very welcome! The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable & the towels/robes soft. Breakfast was delicious- the small full English was more than enough for my husband & the scrambled eggs on sourdough were wonderful (the eggs were just right!). We were too full to sample the home made cookies & cakes in the lounge (shame..) - but did try the wide ranging delights of the honesty bar later. And we managed to eat a selection of the complimentary coffee/biscuits/chocolates/fudge in the room... Llandovery is a quaint small town with a lot of local walks & attractions, Karen & Mark gave us good recommendations for local walks, places to visit, & restaurants. Highly recommend, we will be back.
