微荔酒店(The Myriad Hotel)

The property is old and eclectic, which is what give it’s charm. The neighborhood is rather loud with multiple late night venues in the area give a feeling for safety concerns.

There was a half eaten chocolate donut on the nightstand and carry out container of food in the fridge.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The restaurant on site, Paseo, was fantastic for brunch. My only complaint is that there was only one regular coffee in my room and three decafs. Hotels have a tendency to greatly overestimate the amount of decaf drinkers there are in the world. Other than that, my stay was pleasant.

Super cute adorable community. Recommend the neighborhood and everything walkable.

Loved our stay at the myriad. The staff was amazing. Drinks at the bar were amazing. Food at Paseos was epic. Loved the decor and location.

Coffee pot but no coffee. Shower takes 7 minutes and 51 seconds before it gets warm, another minute for it to be “hot” enough to shower. No noise mitigation at all. So much road noise all night and morning. Paid $350 for the king suite with a fireplace. Yep. There was a hole for a fireplace. No fake logs, no lighting, no gas, just the fireplace. Charge me more for that which has no value. No desk in room, a single accent chair. Would not ever pay this much to stay there again. Would go to a chain where I know what I am getting for that amount.

I grew up in Louisville and am familiar with the area, so I was excited that they now have a hotel in this area of town. You really can't beat the location for dining and shopping. Other pros: very clean generally, excellent and fun pool area with great service, parking behind the hotel was easy. Cons: finding someone to help with anything was a challenge. My room didn't get serviced the entire time I was there (four nights) and there was no information about how to contact someone to remedy that. There also wasn't any info on the wifi (had to track someone down who worked at the pool to figure it out) or how to request something as simple as a box of tissues for the room. The front desk seemed to be staffed sometimes but empty other times. I stayed just a few days after they opened, so I'm guessing they'll have things ironed out quickly. Overall, great location and good potential, but needs to work out some kinks.
