Best Western Plus Executive Residency Pottstown

When we walked in and were greeted by a very friendly lady at the front desk. She also helped us find a great Asian restaurant for dinner. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a king bed with and efficiently; sink, dishwasher, all the dishes and things needed, mini fridge, microwave & coffee pot, plus some extras. The pool was kept clean as well as the hallways and elevators. The continental breakfast was nice and had a verity of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Everything was fine. Easy check in and check out place was fairly clean

After asking for towels and washcloths I was told they didn't have any clean ones. There wasn't enough in the room for all 4 of us. Ask the second day got 2 more towels but again no clean washcloths. Complained to the lady on the kiosk after 20 minutes of standing there she told me there's no manger on duty. I had to give a phone number 2 days later still waiting for my call. I promise I'll keep calling and emailing until I get a result. You don't pay per person and have to share towels. The pool was green told you should be able to use it maybe tomorrow. Looks are deceiving. Definity not worth the price. Sorry to say very unsatisfied.

Front desk staff was amazing at resolving any issues we had, however the cleaning staff needs serious help. Rooms were gross and hallways had food crumbs everywhere and wrappers all over the floor. Showers were grimey. My mom had a room by us and had to change rooms due to it being so nasty. Then the new room had orange stuff all over the comforter. Over all I would not come back , but do want to credit the front desk for being so understanding and helpful during the stay specially when there were children running and slamming doors all night our first night. They made sure they couldn’t stay there again after that night so that was greatly appreciated.

First of all you can’t even check in with a real person. You talk to a kiosk and if you have a problem or issue, forget it, you won’t get any help. We had a simple request to change our bed type and I had it all confirmed the day before check in after two hours of a hassle. I get there to check in and low and behold they have no record of that conversation. All I wanted was two beds instead of one. They would not tell me a price to change the room just kept saying it wasn’t possible. The hotel was not fully booked, I had paid in advance, and I was offering to pay what ever the cost to change the room. They still just insisted they couldn’t do it. No explanation why! So I took the room and went and made some phone calls. After another hour of arguments they finally said, sure we can chang that room type. And for how much? 6$. That’s all they needed was 6$ for hours of confrontation! Which they comped for my troubles! What ever! You should of comped my whole room for all that matters! The man behind the desk was absolutely rude and went and hid and would not talk to me. The hallways were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. Beds were very uncomfortable, I will not be going back to this location.

Once I got into my room, I noticed it hadn't been cleaned (crumbs in the fridge, dead flies on the ledge by the window, dust on the head board, end tables, tv stand, toothpaste on the mirror). I went back and asked for a rag and cleaner, they refused to give it to me and said they would come clean again. They came in with a dry cloth and wiped down the requested spots. Which did nothing, I had to go to Aldi next door to get wipes and fabreeze and do a deep clean. I found two old socks under the ottoman. The air conditioner was broken, so hot in the room. I requested a late check out to take a zoom call, they said that wasn't an option...very poor service. Will not be going back.

This review is based upon my June 2023 stay at Best Western Plus Executive Residency Pottstown, PA. I was extremely disappointed in my stay at this property in June 2023. I stayed there in July of 2022 and had a good experience, My favorable experience in 2022 influenced my selection of this property for my June 2023 trip. I also chose this property because they had handicap accessible “walk in / roll in shower” rooms available. I made my reservation in March for a June stay. For one of my 2 rooms, I selected a handicap accessible room with walk in shower. In my instructions for the hotel, I said one room needed to be handicap accessible. I called ahead n the early afternoon of the day I was scheduled to arrive in order to confirm that a handicap room was available. I was was told that I did have the handicap accessible room available for me. Upon arrival, I was told the handicap accessible room was not available, because the hotel was overbooked. The room I received has a bathtub. My 100 yr old mother cannot use this type of bathroom. This was not acceptable. No attempt was made to correct the issue. All I got was a sorry sir. The condition of the hotel has deteriorated between July 2022 and June 2023. for instance, the strike plate on the door for one of my room was hanging on by one screw. The strike plate for the door for my other room was missing. This made the rooms seem less secure. It appeared that several other rooms had missing strike plates.

Had to switch handicap rooms after setting up. Room was not prepped, Bed was slept in not changed, coffee pot no cups, bath room was very clean. Towels missing, no soap or shelf to put things on. Got there for check in, No one at desk, No one answerphone. Nowhere to be found. Rugs dirty, Hallway dirty. Helper in hallway did not speak a word of English. could not get copy of receipt at check out. Breakfast was a joke scrambled eggs only, with slice bead and bad coffee. No fruit or juices. No batter for waffle maker etc. I would like to get some refund for the stay.
