梅朵別墅(Hotel Villa Maydou)

The hotel is based in an attractive array of traditional buildings with stepping stones through the gardens to each one. In our bathroom there was a swarm of flying insects which was unpleasant but we dealt with them without too much bother (sorry vegans but they had to go). The bathroom has a shower attachment and curtain over the bath, the toilet room didn't have a washbasin which seems a little. As for the TV I wasn't aware that you could buy one that small, there wasn't any English language stations and most of them looked as if it was snowing. In fairness it wasn't an inconvenience for us as we didn't come to watch television. Our room had Aircon and ceiling fans which was most welcome. The hotel appears to be on the flight path of the local airport but they have hardly any flights so it wasn't problematic. The pool is quite small with green tiles which nicely complements the surroundings, it's large enough to cool off in which is the main thing, it's the same depth of 1.6 meters over the whole length. Near the pool are sunloungers with parasols, three tables and chairs with chess sets, conveniently towels are available by the bar, also you can borrow bicycles which is a nice idea.

Merveilleux petit hôtel où nous séjournons lorsque nous sommes à LP. Cadre enchanteur, grandes chambres avec tout ce dont on a besoin, piscine et bar. Bref, le calme dans un ensemble des plus sympathiques d'où vous pouvez tout faire à pied. Le personnel et la propriétaire sont très sympathiques et dispinibles. A recommander sans la moindre ĥésitation.

De retour en France je garde un goût si doux de mon séjour à la villa Meydou. Un accueil chaleureux et attentionné dans une bulle de rêve au cœur de la ville. La végétation, la piscine, l’architecture, les chambres, le petit déjeuner..! Un endroit unique qui me laisse de délicieux souvenirs.. Merci encore !

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans ce magnifique hôtel et nous avons adoré. Check-in rapide et efficace. Le cadre est idyllique. Des arbres, des fleurs, des bâtiments construits ou reconstruits dans le plus pur style de Luang Prabang. On s'y sent bien à peine arrivés. La chambre est splendide. Du bois précieux un peu partout, des décorations pleines de goût. Sublime. Salle-de-bains très belle et pratique également. Piscine très rafraîchissante avec le bar pour déguster d'excellents cocktails juste à côté. Petit-déjeuner très complet avec des produite frais et faits maison (pains, gâteaux, confitures, yaourt, etc...), le tout servi par un staff toujours présent et très souriant. En résumé, une adresse magnifique !!!

Lovely and charming hotel with spacious rooms in authentic and historic buildings, next to a temple and a short distance from the heart of the city which added to the overall charm. The staff were very helpful. Special thanks go to the owners, Noy and Patrick, for their professionalism and courtesy, which was much appreciated. This establishment is highly recommended for its delightful ambience, very good service and convenient location.

We enjoyed the location, a little outside the main drag and the historic buildings nestled together. However, it was too noisy; noise from the road starts early bit particularly from the rooms. The floorboards were so creeky, in our room and others so it just disturbed everyone. We could also hear people's alarms and things. Breakfast was a bit disorganised too

Excellent hotel, very spacious rooms, attractive grounds and a small but useful swimming pool ( don't let the green tiles put you off). The staff are lovely, always helpful and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The only reason it's four stars is that there is not tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful hotel and if we ever come back to Luang Prabang, we will stay there again. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our room was quite large and we had a very good boxspring bed. We even had our own veranda overlooking the pool. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - I can only recommend the 'spicy Lao omelette'. The service was super friendly.

A beautiful hotel in an wonderful location.; it is very quiet but within an easy walk of the historic centre. Beautiful gardens and pool. Traditional style accommodation, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.. Great showers. Really friendly staff. Wonderful breakfasts
