魯頓胡高爾夫及水療酒店(Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa)

First of all it’s a beautiful old property with lovely grounds. Clearly at some point in time it was a fantastic mansion house however it’s now in desperate need of renovation or very least some paint, new furniture and TLC. The whole building is tired, our room was huge however really needed a deep clean and a good paint - everything in there from the iron, to the bathroom is dated. The staff are very friendly and do the best they can I’m sure. Would like to see the property bought back to its former glory… It’s convenient to Luton airport set in lovely grounds and given there is not tons around we would probably stat again but put some money back into this property and it would be much appreciated but all I’m sure who stay there.

Overall enjoyed our short group break. Staff were friendly polite but on few ocassion hard to get hold off staff via in room telephone and their normal phone line. Breakfast service was good, would have liked to have visited their restaurants more for conveniance and better experience but due to limited dietary choices we drove out to nearby restaurants on some days

To say the Luton Hoo was disappointing is an understatement. Our room in the Mansion House was very nice, with a balcony overlooking the grounds - which unfortunately we were unable to enjoy due to the weather (not the hotel's fault, of course). But the restaurant...Oh, the restaurant! The Werner Restaurant was closed (evidently it is just closed on Mondays), so we dined in Adams Brasserie...very disappointing! My husband and I dined with another couple. Both of the men in our group are former chefs at Luton Hoo. The two women had the halibut, and it was truly excellent. The men's meals were another story, however. My husband ordered a steak "medium rare," and it was terribly overcooked - well-done, even. He sent it back, and it came out overcooked *again.* He would have sent it back again had we not had guests with us! Our male guest ordered Bang Bang Chicken, which he said was dry and tough and fairly tasteless. Breakfast the next morning in the Werner Restaurant was absolutely nothing special and grossly overpriced for what it was. My husband was highly disappointed, as (he says) it used to be *very* grand. It seems to have gone downhill in the last few years.

Staff were so friendly and went out of there way to make kids happy, pool was lovely and clean you can only use certain times as a family but worked for us. Rooms were big and very clean. Food was delicious in adams restaurant. Grounds were lovely too. We really enjoyed our stay

This hotel is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and the children loved it as well, and the room, the facilities and the staff was so nice. I could have stayed there for a really long time, and if you're looking for somewhere to relax, enjoy nature, see history and culture or have a good meal this is the place. The spa and golf facilities are also great. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel with amazing facilities and staff. They treated the children so well with so much respect and care. Brilliant pool and we really enjoyed cycling around the amazing grounds 😊

Was travelling for a swim gala so only one night. Post gala went down to the bistro restaurant with a very hungry child to be told there were no walk-ins, even though it was early in the evening and the restaurant empty. Manager was basically rude and inflexible and only offered the 19th hole for snacks or the main hotel for sandwiches. We weren't asked, or warned, about this at check-in and therefore had to drive miles to get restaurant food. Upon return, now being late, and child flagging and asleep we find the TV broken, reception kindly offered to re-room us, which we refused. Next day the gala started at 8.15 so were prompt for breakfast at 7.30, which was neither open on time or ready. Having waited 10 mins to be seated we got coffee, pastries and fruit but lack of hot food and toast as it wasn't ready. At checkout the receptionist tried to give me the wrong bill, which ironically had Bistro food on it. Having then complained they offered to get a manager, however it was already 8.10 and we were 15 mins from the gala. They did kindly call later that night offered the usual excuses and a complimentary upgrade should we ever come back - again tone deaf response.

Luton Hoo was an elegant experience in a bucolic setting. We enjoyed exploring the gardens, had a nice meal in the restaurant and pleasant stay overall. Our room was large and comfortable, the only small glitch was the 3:00am fire alarm! We booked there due to an early flight out of Luton Airport the following morning, not your typical airport hotel!

Beautiful opulent place, enormous rooms, comfortable beds. The food was so-so bordering on poor - perfectly fine in many cases but undercooked chips, flavourless meat and veg - not worthy of the 5 stars. The service varied. The porters and doormen were very helpful, but the waiters and reception staff were not. And worst of all, the breakfast was chaotic. We waited 25 minutes for coffee, our eggs were cold by the time the toast arrived etc, and all our neighbouring tables had similar poor service. When we reported this, they didn't seem to care. We'd like to return to this beautiful building, but would need to eat elsewhere.
