We were very impressed with this motel. The room was exceptionally clean. The property was also outstanding. I would recommend this motel to everyone. Another plus it is privately owned, which is a plus considering most hotel in Mackinac City are owed by one person. I will stay here again.

Rainbow motel has exactly the amenities senior like myself enjoys, 1/clean basic room c/w parking right out side my door. 2/Spacious well groomed grounds for sitting and visiting other travelers. And mostly walking distance to dam near everything! 3/ Family owned and operated c/w hospitality!! 4/ definitely returning in fall of 2026 Ron and Sandra Amherstburg ontario

It was musty, bath was old and and had no counter space. The beds were hard and lumpy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were attractive. It would be nice if they had a coffee malt in the room.

We selected the Rainbow Motel for its high rating but after checking in, it became apparent that the rating system needs to be updated to enable a higher rating. This motel is in the style of a 1960’s roadside motel but I feel like I was the first person to stay in it. So clean and well maintained. Laura, who checked us in was a sweetheart.
