完美海灘度假村(Ideal Beach Resort)

Nous avons commencé notre séjour de 3 semaines en Inde du Sud, en décembre 2023, par un séjour de trois nuits à l'hôtel IDEAL BEACH RESORT. L'hôtel est idéalement situé en bord de plage ou il fait bon se promener les pieds dans l'eau et assister au retour des pêcheurs. De plus, il est à proximité de tous les sites à visiter à MAHABALIPURAM. La piscine est agréable et le personnel char***t. Nous recom***dons vivement cette adresse.

L'Hotel si affaccia sul mare , bella la vista dalla camera. La camera è spaziosa e pulita. Comode le poltrone fuori dalla propria porta ad uso esclusivo . Il ristorante serve un'ottima colazione ed ha un un buon assortimento di piatti anche per il pranzo e la cena. Forse un po' troppo costoso.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits en septembre 2023, et la qualité est toujours là. Accueil sympathique et attentionné, belle chambre 'de luxe' avec tout le confort et propre. Le petit déjeuner, sous forme de buffet, est exceptionnel par sa qualité et le choix des produits proposés (bémol pour le choix des confitures). Nous avons eu recours au room service, pour dîner ; efficace, et le mutton biryani succulent. La piscine est belle, bien entretenue avec maître nageur attentionné. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !!! Nous le recom***dons vivement par rapport aux autres complexes hôteliers très impersonnels de Mahabalipuram... Edouard et Nicolas de Paris.

Bella costruzione con edifici a due piani che si affacciano verso l’interno, oppure guardano verso il mare. Accoglienza alla reception efficace e check-in facile. La camera è grande ed ha sia le pale che l’aria condizionata. Il bagno però no, ha una finestrella verso l’esterno con la zanzariera. Forniscono un unico asciuga***o grande al giorno. Se poi volete usare la vasca o fare la doccia c’è un’altra porta che dà su uno spazio grande all’aperto. Sarebbe piacevole e comodo se la zona non fosse fittamente abitata da corvi che usano posarsi sul muro o sul bastone doccia per fare i loro bisogni. E ne ri***gono le tracce sulle mattonelle sporche, peccato. Suggerisco alla proprietà di mettere delle reti di protezione così da evitare questa situazione sgradevole. In stanza c’è la cassaforte (senza le istruzioni per l’uso), ma non è fissata a nulla, né al muro né all’armadio così un malintenzionato potrebbe asportarla con tutto il contenuto. Il ristorante è molto ampio, ma non c’è aria condizionata, però ha molte pale che sono abbastanza efficaci la sera. La scelta del buffet è davvero ampia e credo che ognuno possa trovare qualcosa che gli piace, lo stesso vale per la colazione. Menù alla carta ottimo. Se avete qualche difficoltà affidatevi allo staff, sono tutti gentili e disponibili anche grazie al capo staff V. Raja. Sul tavolo si trova anche una bottiglia di acqua filtrata a disposizione. Un plus è la piscina davvero grande e la spiaggia riservata, anche se poi il mare non è quello delle Maldive e nessuno farà mai il bagno. Una scelta davvero infelice le sedie messe a disposizione (non ci sono lettini) che sono di una scomodità al limite della denuncia penale e indegne di un hotel. Forniscono anche gli asciuga***i per la spiaggia agli ospiti. Wi-Fi scarso o non funzionante. Occorre scendere in Reception o al Ristorante per avere un segnale costante e sufficiente. Complessivamente non mi è dispiaciuto, ma avrebbe bisogno, come minimo, di porte nuove nelle camere (che tengano fuori caldo e rumori) e un rinnovamento dei bagni che hanno piastrelle rotte e rubinetti intasati dal calcare. Nota di merito per il ristorante, una sera abbiamo cenato alla carta ed era davvero buono; forse uno dei posti dove abbiamo ***giato meglio in India.

Beautifully maintained resort with comfortable, immaculately clean rooms. Easy access to a beautiful beach and conveniently located for visiting the gorgeous ancient temples in Mamallapuram. Spacious restaurant serving generous portions of tasty food.

I can’t believe that more people haven’t found this gem of resort just 50 mins out of Chennai. This 1970s style Ideal beach resort hotel, offers a stunning beach view and the best ever cooling breeze beneath the big per***ent umbrellas with great beach side drinks service. You can literally look at the view, the goings on or read a book for hours without moving, the breeze just makes it perfect. Don’t let the retro look put you off, the staff are wonderful and the chefs are amazing. We choose to eat vegetarian whilst there and both the veg kebabs were excellent as were the dried cauliflower and dried potato dishes. This restaurant though has ***y talents we also tried noodle dishes and freshly made spring roles at dinner and beautiful kiwi or ***go muffins and banana cake for breakfast ***** with superb normal Indian cuisine. This venue is used for conferences and there was one on whilst we were there, it didn’t cause us any issues in fact it enhanced my experience as I enjoy people watching and it was great to hear the enthusiasm for their team building exercises. Just a 350 rupee taxi ride into town to see the 7th Century stone temples, Krishnas butterball and the Arjuna’s Penance carving. If you need a couple of nights chill away from the hassle and bustle of life and are happy to have some space, check it out, it really is Ideal and good value for money. A very special thank you to the young Nepalese lady who welcomed us to our meals and kindly phoned me of a morning to ensure our jet lag meant we didn’t miss breakfast so polite and a smile that made us feel very welcome.

The resort is clean and well maintained overall. The upkeep is very good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room type we booked was not available in the ground floor and my mom can't climb stairs. We were upgraded to a better room on the ground floor for no additional charge. The staff were also hospitable and accommodating to all our requests. Access to the beach is excellent. The beach is also quite clean. We will definitely come back here.

I’ve been coming here for 25 years and have stayed 15-20 times over the years. While our stay was still lovely, the property has fallen into disrepair. It feels a bit grungy and lacks the cleanliness it used to have. The conference center seems to have distracted from the resort feel. The room smelled musty and things were dirty and broken. The restaurant and food are good. The pool is nice, but the infrastructure around the pool needs to be fixed and better maintained. There are ***y 1/2 finished projects around the property that feel disconnected and distract from the beauty. Honestly, I’m not sure I’ll be back which is sad.
