We treated ourselves to a boutique B&B and will be honest the Sindic wasn’t our first choice as the spa hotel was already booked up some months ahead it seems.. To have that but extra we booked a room with the jacuzzi bath in the room for extra decadence.. If there was one issue, it was simply a miscommunication from them in their email to us the night before our stay advising check in / reception wasn’t 24 hours and so we couldn’t arrive between 2pm and 5pm, resulting in us somewhat dawdling the last leg of the Cami de Cavalls we had completed that day to ensure we didn’t arrive early.. and would have been kicking our heels waiting for opening.. More on that later.. We were met initially by both the owner and Martina on reception, who informed us she’d only started there less than 2 weeks ago.. this became obvious when on her mini guided tour of this beautiful hotel, she was reading from her notes to explain the historical aspects of the reception area and it’s significance to the area.. she then showed us the rooftop lounge , pool and honesty bar, all of which we may have used has the weather been more favourable.. it was a lovely place to be with great views across the port.. we were then shown to our room where our cases were waiting for us and again we’re shown how to operate the brilliant lighting (so often hotel rooms are darkly lit.. but not with the options here) and s bedside control of how to Bluetooth your tech to the speakers to play your own music etc. which we figured out eventually.. There were instructions for the whirlpool bath that were clear.. whilst the tv was a good picture.. we had to have the volume on max and even then it was just audible … and would have to say the TV remote was incredibly fiddly to use.. but in all, a minor detail not detracting from our stay .. there was also a mini bar in the room together with tea / coffee making facilities with plenty of supplies of both .. Again.. not enough to mark down to four for this but we both felt for a luxury stay , the bath towels did seem very ordinary.. they were perfectly adequate for the job but we both agreed they didn’t have the weight or fluffiness we might have expected.. Breakfast… wow… breakfast.. you have to order your preference of bread rolls when you check in which is no issue and then on the day you arrive to find your table with your name and room number All the produce is clearly fresh such as the bread rolls and croissants, but the star of the show is the different pastries and sweets prepared that day.. all of which were fantastic and just super tasty.. I’ll be honest and say we still preferred the breakfast at the Ladico last year with their poached eggs which were amazing.. but again, I’m being picky .. So on the last day , we had a late afternoon flight so being able to check out at noon, we had breakfast and popped in to town for some last minute shopping.. back to the hotel and checked out, went for lunch and then made sure we were
