瓦塔姆生態別墅(Watamu Eco Villas)

We loved this little spot - a very chilled little oasis with a great vibe and lovely staff. Basic rooms but excellent value. The lounge area is the perfect spot to relax with a book, play board games, pool and darts, or simply meet others that are staying in the villas.

My baby boy and I had and are still having an amazing stay at Echo villa’s (on Booking: Eco Villa’s). The garden is lush with birds and colorful gecko’s (not shy!), the pool is clean and big, there are toys for kids and books for grown ups. The breakfast is good, the restaurant airy and spacious, and for the rooms there is a turndown service included which feels so luxurious. We have a veranda overlooking the garden, with a swinging bed which is ideal for baby afternoon naps. The manager and staff go out of their way to help with anything, I myself feel under the weather and they made a special tea for me, and a wonderful babysitter so I can rest. I feel taken care off and enjoy the garden and peace and quiet. It’s all in the details.

The property (houses on Easter Side) has big issue with the three-phase power input. Finally, we spent our night without electricity (two basic lamps were provided instead for the room and bathroom). The electric generator was not reliable - lights were blinking all the time. I didn`t want to charge my electric equipment when the generator was used (didn`t want risk damaging items). The breakfast was rather basic. The rest of the experience was OK. It was the only only one property we visited with electric problems on the Coast. We didn`t receive any kind of proposal for refund for that unconvenience. We suggest: before renting make sure you are located in the house on western side of the property.

This place is so amazing!! Agnes (who runs it) is the kindest person, the food is amazing and a nice mix of local food and some European dishes, everyone who works there is so nice and helpful, the rooms have everything you need. They have watchman at the gates who are so nice and are there all night - very safe environment and only a short Boda or tuk tuk into the centre! (Love Lila, Scarlett and Daisy x)

We are students from the UK travelling up the coast of Kenya and absolutely loved our stay at Eco Villas. Juliette was so friendly and welcoming and cooked delicious home-made samosas. We would definitely come again here. All the staff are lovely and happy to help with anything!

Agnes is a good host and was very kind to us during our stay.
