The location is at the heart of the city centre with many restaurants out of the doors, but noise was included, especially at night time. Free bus is available just 2 minutes away from the property. The facilities were a bit old. Netflix was provided that was wonderful

Excellent Appartments. On a pedestrianised road, with restaurants and bars, in heart of Northern Quarter. But extremely quiet at night. We had a 2 bed, 2 bathroom flat on 5th floor. Very clean, comfortable beds, good showers. Well provisioned kitchen, which we didn’t need to use - but tea, coffee and milk sachets provided. Friendly reception staff. We’ll definitely stay again.

Apartments were very clean, great location & lady at check lovely & helpful. However, at 6.30am the fire alarm went off. This happens, and obviously for our safety so we exited the building. On our exit there were no staff & no-one to give instruction. We waited outside with the family for an hour. Not only were there no staff on site during this time, but none of the numbers displayed on the reception wall relating to 'in event of fire' wouldn't connect/or were completely unhelpful. The number supplied at reception 'to call if unmanned' had no answer. The main Quay Apartments number had no answer. So the only option was for one of guests to call the emergency services. The fire service came out & checked the building silenced the alarm in most of the building & allowed us back in....still no staff. Eventually one of the guests found some numbers on the backside of a sign in reception & that was answered but by this stage the fire service had taken over the situation so we went back in to pack up & check out....still no staff at reception. The fire service will have a record of all this, plus the fact that most fire doors in the building were open, some wedged open & that they couldn't detect the area of the building as no fire zone map was available. Basic fire regs not being adhered to, especially for living accommodation above a restaurant.

It’s shame to have to write a bad review however our experience with Quay Apartments isn’t great. I can not score higher than a one given the rude and unhelpful manager/owner. I fully appreciate terms and conditions however it’s at their discretion, to be so rude and unhelpful is unnecessary and I will NOT ever book with Quay Apartments again. Beware when booking with this company, they aren’t bothered about the customers just the booking/money.

Very disappointed with the service at this property. I accidently booked the wrong dates, when I realised the cost of the news dates was £25 more. The property said they were happy to move the dates as a gesture of goodwill which I was grateful for given they had a no cancellation policy. Unfortunately that gratitude ended abruptly when the property manager declined my request twice until he had increased the price by close to double what we had originally paid! Disgusting! He then denied it! I felt completely taken for a ride! We then arrived at the property to be told our room was ready 3 hours early however there was a charge of £30 which I refused to pay given I hadn't even asked for it! The room itself was OK, pros and cons: Pro: - comfy beds - clean overall - good location (although the street below is full of outdoor seating so noisy!) Cons: - no attention to detail when it comes to maintaining the property. - the living room TV had a blue tinge - the TV in the bedroom was broken - a light fitting was found in a drawer - another light fitting was completely broken - the dining table and a cupboard both had a corner bitten off - ironing board broken - also the bar below empties their bottle bins directly below the bedroom windows which is extremely noisy!
