Unique & special hotel circa 1914. Taylor, at Reception Desk, made us feel most welcome & special,too! Nice furniture, Coffee & salt water taffy. Whiskey Bar, with other beverages & a minimal menu to accompany drinks… nicely done as well.

As a woman traveling alone, I loved how safe and quiet the Courtyard room was. The entry to the room is behind two gates that locked at night. Safety features on the room door, patio door, and windows. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and pretty clean, but not to the standard I'd expect based on the $400 per night. In order to take a relaxing bath, I needed to scrub the bath first as I noticed a grey line around the bottom. The carpet in the room also turned my bare feet brown. Normally, I'd not walk on carpet in a hotel with bare feet but I'd forgotten my slippers. They did provide a fluffy robe for guests, which was a very nice touch and I loved the gas fireplace. The internet went in and out several times on the two nights I watched movies, which was annoying, but not sure that could've been avoided. My room had a patio with chairs to sit, which I enjoyed a bit but the weeds and berry bush thorns were kind of disappointing considering how well manicured the property was. The coffee and snacks in the room were very appreciated. Overall, I'd give this grand queen plus room a 3 out of 5 due to cleanliness.

The bed was so old and broken in that there was a hole in the middle- the shower did not drain it was so small that the water spayed out the door when you turned it on- the front door literally when open showed the entire bathroom area, the view was poor and the balcony was so small you couldn’t even sit out on it- the restaurant that was literally 10 feet from our room was loud and the light outside the building was very bright- over I would not stay at this hotel again- but Cannon Beach was amazing and I loved the area and will be back!!!

Had issues getting into property at 11:30PM (both gates were locked) and got soaked by the rain trying to find a way in. The TV and fridge in the room didn't work we called twice and no one came to fix them. The flapper on the toilet needs replaced and we had to put our hand in the water tank after each flush. Blue sparks came from the outside of the microwave, we were heating up food and there were no metals inside. The sparks came from the outside and then we smelled rancid burning. I raised all these issues (again) at checkout both verbally and in a handwritten note that I left behind. We basically got blown off by the lady at the checkout. I have emailed, texted and snail mailed the property seeking a partial refund and have had ZERO response.

When showing up to the hotel, you check in, but then have to drive to the property that they manage. Kind of a hassle, after unloading luggage. Unit 27 on Jackson street was a tiny house that had been divided into rooms. I heard every creek of someone walking around the house or moving chairs etc . The units have a fireplace and i kept smelling smoke in my part from the other parts of the house. I don’t care for the smoke smell. The blinds were ill fitting and were very dirty. They didn’t cover the window well and others kept walking by. I kept hearing what I assume a mouse under the sink area of the kitchen. The unit was very dark and old. The location to the beach was great and walking to town wasn’t too far. Wouldn’t stay again. Parking too was very small and tight. Barely got a parking spot.

McBee Cottages #38 Very disappointing. There was a locked door that connect to what looked like a bigger room next store so wondering if this was a “spare room” for those who wanted it. But to sell it as a standalone unit for almost $200 USD is very bad. Factoring in the attempt to be “boutique” and “historical”, the room was very small but equally importantl lacking many things that would be expected. These included: no hangers, in the smallest closet I have ever seen. Therefore closet useless. No place to store our luggage, including suitcases, so on the floor by the door. No ice bowl. No shelves or storage of any sort in bathroom, so had to put our stuff on the floor. No accessible electric plugs. So we just didn’t charge anything and dealt with it the next day after we left the hotel. The 2 chairs in the room was so small a normal sized adult (and I am not overweight) could not possibly sit in it. A petite woman or child only. Any one or even a couple of these we could deal with but all at the same time made the experience very negative and for the price I would not stay again, nor recommend to anyone.

Great location: short walk to the beach and all of Cannon Beach. Spacious units and quiet atmosphere. Fireplace adds a nice touch.

We had a beautiful king size room on the second floor with a fireplace. The bed was great and so was the comforter I was able to have a great sleep. I like the fact that we were able to walk right down to Haystack We will definitely be back
