La Loma del Chivo LLC - the Spirit Room

This place is magical! It's not your place if you cherish the ordinary. Otherworldly as done in papercrete could begin to describe the outward appearance. Inside the Goat shed, the unit I stayed in, the eclectic decor, comfortable furniture, soft bed with the sparkly bedcover, the vast array of travel books . . . all fed my soul. The two nights I stayed were far too little time. Check it out; it might change your life.

Corky hotel full of art. Small casita type rooms. Beautiful sunsets, each Casita has almost everything you need for day or night. The stars are not to be missed. Slept like a rock. Close to Big Bend National Park.

Very quaint and clean! A small foyer, large bedroom and sitting area, a galley kitchen and small bathroom. We loved this room! The bed was very comfortable. I loved the personality of this room, it was a stone cottage built around an antique camper.. so much character. Will definitely be back next year!!

Ingrid the innkeeper is awesome. Positively celestial in its wackiness. The whole place is an art installation. A must-see, must-do. Much more than a hostel; it’s really a retreat disguised as a building materials lab. Quiet and relaxing. Our building (Spirit) was large, comfortable, and had everything we would want: coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave. Thanks for a wonderful time!

My wife and I really enjoyed La Loma Del Chivo. We had the Nabalom room which was wonderful and very clean. The entire property is basically a big art project and we both enjoyed it immensely. Ingrid was great and went out of her way to help us when our rental car wouldn't start in the morning. This place is special and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were ever in the area. You won't forget your stay here.
