Comfy bed,hot powerful shower,warm and quiet room. Nice food and pint in the bar so nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay again

Great hotel, walking distance to Westwood cross shopping centre. Not too far for a drive to the beach. Restaurant opposite if do not want to go to far to find somewhere to eat.

Stayed here a few times , nice people, pub across the road has a good menu and food is lovely, hotel rooms could do with a lick of paint but apart from that a great place to stay 👍👍👍

From check-in to final breakfast a smooth, friendly journey. Our room was ready on time and spotlessly clean in bedroom and bathroom. A very comfortable bed for our three-night stay. Very effective air-conditioning, (we were at the Canterbury Bell during the August "heat-wave". Towels were changed regularly and the room tidied each day. We found it to be a very quiet place to sleep; good security. The Marston Inn was just twenty paces from room with several options to choose from at breakfast and a varied menu for evening meals. Staff were welcoming, attentive, helpful and unflustered. A quiet location (with Westwood Cross shopping centre within walking distance) and beaches a ten minute car-ride away this is a brilliant place to stay.

We’d passed this hotel previously and thought we’d book to see what it was like. Sadly we were really disappointed, we arrived an hour early and as per information sent to me prior to the stay we checked if our room was ready. An incredibly unfriendly receptionist was patronising in his response that we couldn’t check in till 2 and didn’t even look. When we checked in we spoke to the same guy who again wasn’t the slightest bit friendly or welcoming. The room was ok but the bathroom was pretty awful, not very clean, the walls were filthy. Overall really disappointed with this stay. I will add though that we went for breakfast in the restaurant the following morning and the waiter was great and the food really good value.

Great value, food and room. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and convenient. Lucky find for us.

Stayed at Canterbury Bell, accomodation was good and clean. Food at the pub was good and great choice. Breakfast was hot (this is a good thing).

The room was clean and spacious for a group of 4. The bonus was having the pub just opposite the inn, which made access to food super easy. The food was excellent.

Stayed for two nights, very clean in rooms and restaurant, staff very friendly, helpful and professional.
