We stayed in the room with 2 king sized beds and the beds were comfortable. The bedding was decent, if stained. The carpet is pretty gnarly looking and everything in the room could use a deep cleaning. It didn't flood though! And seeing as you step down into the room and we were there during a flood watch that was a happy bonus. There is a very convenient and cheap bus going directly down to the beach, an In-n-Out directly across the street and a Walgreens just down the block so if you're in town and need some essentials it's in a good spot. It's also a quick and surface street trip to LAX.
The room is pretty quiet and there is a ceiling fan. Unfortunately for us the heater/ac until stopped working our second day, and we were having brown-outs that night which dimmed the already dim lights. I don't know if it was a city wide situation or just the hotel, or just the room. There is a vent in the room that is just open to the outside so it did get pretty chilly once the heater went out (this was during the Blizzard of '23). The owners seemed nice enough and had we asked I'm sure we could have gotten extra blankets. It wasn't anything fancy but it was certainly in range of being the cheapest place to house a family of four with room to move in LA so we got what we were looking for.
