Well after today this will be my familys last time at this hotel. We usually stay here 3-4 times a year while visiting family. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. My issue lies with the breakfast staff. As I was helping my 10 year old get some waffle mix out of the machine, the nozzle came off and mix went everywhere. Instead of being understanding staff came out very annoyed and rude, as if we meant to do this. My child began crying as she felt terrible and embarrassed and the worker just continued to shoot us looks and was extremely annoyed by our presence. After this happened she shut down the waffle maker, leaving my child who has food sensitivities, nothing else to eat on site. So she had to go hungry and wait to eat until I could pack up our belongings and check out. I was very apologetic to her and the situation, but she refused to speak to me and only acknowledged me by rolling her eyes in my direction. Seems the Holiday Inn will get our future business when we stay in Marion. Maybe some sensitivity training should be in order for this 'general manager." I have never seen anybody so cold and so not understanding to a situation. DONTGO HERE WITH KIDS, you are not welcome.
