庫爾格河濱旅館(Kruger Riverside Lodge - No Load-Shedding)

This place was really amazing, great hospitality and the owner uncle Pete is a real champ. I would recommend this place to anyone

Il soggiorno di tre notti al Kruger Riverside Lodge è stato al di sopra delle nostre aspettative! Accoglienza gentile, stanze comode, ottime cene! Il personale dirigente e lo staff sono stati sempre disponibili ed attenti alle nostre esigenze. Abbiamo apprezzato l'atmosfera suggestiva delle cene, con la tavola apparecchiata sempre con lumi a candela e fiori. Top la presenza di animali nel giardino come kudu, facoceri antilopi ed altro che si avvicinano senza timore. Un lodge sicuramente da consigliare anche per la sua posizione poco distante da uno degli ingressi del parco Kruger. Il gruppo italiano

Мы поехали в путешествие по Африке на юбилей свадьбы. Останавливались в лодже на 2 ночи. Мы очень редко выбираем guesthouse или подобные типы размещения, обычно популярные или какие-то дизайнерские отели. Но посмотрев все отели в районе Марлот-парка решили остановиться именно здесь. Очень приятно удивила такая добрая дружеская встреча и атмосфера для нас. Хозяин (или управляющий отелем) сделал все для того чтобы мы максимально комфортно себя чувствовали. Нам красиво украшали стол, наливали бокал вина на ужин (бесплатно, не знаю связано это с юбилеем или для всех так). Подарили бутылку игристого вина в честь нашего юбилея. Хозяин дал в поездку в Крюгер нам журнал с картой и животными. Нам так понравился журнал, что мы купили такой же в парке. К нам было очень тёплое отношение. Один важный совет: обязательно сообщите не только о возможных аллергенах и непереносимостях продуктов, но и о продуктах которые вы просто не употребляйте или не любите. Так как приносят еду на ужин не по меню. Поэтому выбора из двух блюд не будет. Лично я была не готова к этому, так как я всегда могу выбрать именно хотя бы из двух вариантов. Например, я не ем свинину, но так как мой муж ест, то не составило труда просто отдать ему, а самой поесть гарнир и овощи. Но кто-то может остаться из-за этого голодным. Так что не стесняйтесь и вы облегчите жизнь и себе, и персоналу. И кстати ужины очень сытные. Порции просто огромные (по крайней мере для русских людей). Примерно, как в некоторых странах Европы (Германия, Чехия, Италия). В России стандартные порции гораздо меньше. We went on a trip to Africa for our wedding anniversary. Stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. We very rarely choose guesthouse or similar types of accommodation, usually popular or some kind of designer hotels. But after looking at all the hotels in the Marlot Park area, we decided to stay here. I was very pleasantly surprised by such a kind friendly meeting and atmosphere for us. The owner (or hotel manager) did everything to make us feel as comfortable as possible. The table was beautifully decorated for us, a glass of wine was poured for dinner (for free, I don’t know if this is connected with the anniversary or for everyone). Presented with a bottle of sparkling wine in honor of our anniversary. The owner gave us a magazine with a map and animals for the trip to Kruger. We liked the magazine so much that we bought one in the park. There was a very warm attitude towards us. One important tip: be sure to inform not only about possible allergens and food intolerances, but also about foods that you simply do not eat or do not like. Since they bring food for dinner not on the menu. Therefore, there will be no choice of two courses. Personally, I was not ready for this, since I can always choose from at least two options. For example, I don’t eat pork, but since my husband eats, it was not difficult to just give him, and eat the side dish and vegetables myself. But someone may stay hungry because

What a fabulous place to stay. A famous poet once said “ How do I love thee, let me count the ways” That’s how Riverside Lodge makes you feel. Location - brilliant with visiting tame wildlife (kudu, impala, warthogs, bushbuck,vervet monkeys and baboons). Lovely views over the Crocodile River and less than 30 minutes to drive to Crocodile Bridge gate. Food - breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Room - spacious and very comfortable. Sleep was easy and deep. Staff - no words could cover the excellence of all the staff. Westline was awesome - nothing was too much trouble and her team responded well to her leadership. Lido and Prudence were great as was Peter (retired but not retired ). All contributed to a wonderful stay. Thank you for a truly memorable experience.

We had a TERRIBLE experience in this place, that we want to share with everyone. The first day we arrived we booked a safari through the hotel, which did not meet the specified schedules and returned us more than two hours earlier than proposed. The guide never told us why, we understand that it was a quiet day and there were not many animals but that is no reason to return abruptly despite having paid for a full day safari until the afternoon. We politely mentioned this to a lady at the hotel since they managed our tour. Suddenly a man who claimed to be the administrator appeared and told us that if we were not happy with his services to leave. We were shocked, at first we didn't understand. The man named started yelling, apparently he has an anger problem, and literally kicked us out from the hotel. We had paid a very high fee to the same lodge to take us to our next accommodation and the man was the only one who could take us. He grabbed our suitcases and started putting them in the car while he told me that he was stealing coffee from the hotel because he opened my things and saw that I had coffee bags (of course wasn’t the case, that was my coffee). Between screams and disrespect, the lady who also worked at the hotel tried to calm him down (she understood the terrible situation) to which he continued to act violently. We were scared and just wanted to leave. She offered to take us in her car but since there wasn't room for everyone, some of us had to go with the man. We were very afraid on the way, the man crashed into some signs of the new lodge we arrived at. then he opened the door and began to say that he did not want to see us again and that we should leave, that we were not welcome. Really, words are not enough to describe how horrible it was to go through those moments. I have some videos in addition to the photos (tripadvisor won't let me post videos). but there is nothing that can reflect what we feel at that moment. I understand that there can be a misunderstanding anywhere (even when we were right about the tour) but what happened next is something that neither in the most luxurious nor in the cheapest hotel can happen. It was an attack, a lack of respect and an aggression on us, guests and clients. The worst thing is that the hotel denies everything so as not to have any "bad" comments on networks and in their official response through Facebook they only say we had problems with our transportation and tour guide and that it "has nothing to do with the accomodation" . It is totally false. Our complaint is against Kruger Riverside Lodge, because it was its administrator who attacked us for no reason. We have already made our complaints with booking and in many places but the man who attacked us always responds with lies and diverting attention to events that never occurred. The truth is only one, they literally kicked us out of the place without caring about anything and treated us in the worst way. Please never go to this place

Literally the best holiday ever!! Peter, Westline and the staff made us feel like family. Room 5 was gorgeous and very comfortable, food was good and not repeated once in 12 days. We booked a few Game drives while at the lodge and found William to be the perfect guide, both knowledgeable and extremely friendly. My partner became ill during our stay and Peter and Westline went over and above to help us out (Peter even drove us to the doctor and then pharmacy) which was much appreciated. The view from the lodge and the visits from so many animals while eating on the terrace made this lodge even more special. I would absolutely recommend this place (and the amazing people in it) and we will definitely be back!!

I just had the worst experience of my life in this hotel, even fearing for my safety and that of my family. I know it's going to be difficult to believe this, because like everyone else we came to this hotel because of the good comments we read on the internet but we ran away, and it's not an exaggeration. When we arrived everything was fine, the lady who served us was very friendly, the food was delicious and the rooms were comfortable. The problem was the next day, we booked a safari tour with the hotel and it was not what we expected. The guide barely spoke to us and returned us to the hotel before 2:30 in the afternoon, when they told us that the tour would last until 4 or 5 in the afternoon (we paid a lot of money for this). Logically, we complained to the lady at the hotel who booked the service, she understood the problem and apologized to me and my family. However, it was interrupted by the man in the photos (the administrator)

This is an amazing place to stay. Comfortable friendly great food. Extraordinarily clean with really helpful staff. We loved our stay so much we will be returning again next year. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely with an added bonus of friendly visiting wildlife!

We stayed at the Kruger Riverside Lodge on two separate nights in August 2023. During both stays, we received outstanding service and enjoyed delicious made-to-order breakfasts and dinners. We enjoyed viewing kudu and warthogs from the lodge's back patio. Charl and Peter gave us personalized attention and recommendations. We are looking forward to staying at Kruger Riverside Lodge again in the future.
