Excellent pub. On holiday and popped in for Sunday lunch which was excellent (best to book). So good we went back twice - once for lunch and then evening meal for last night. Food was excellent could not fault it. Service excellent and very friendly service. All this and all at sensible prices. If in area definitely worth a visit.

Excellent and accommodating service even though I messed up the original booking for Fathers Day Lunch. It is great to see The Bear Inn back 'on song' again. Many thanks for sorting out the booking and delivering an excellent Sunday Lunch. Big thanks to all the team.

The friendliness, skills and politeness of the staff were most welcome. The surroundings are so peaceful; the furnishings and interiors appropriate. The food and drinks menus perfectly adequate for our needs. The four of us enjoyed our dinner and breakfast dish selections and the drinks ranges and value for money.

Sunday Dinner was Cold, a weird taste to the roast potatoes. Beef looked like ham and sliced so thin it was tasteless. Gravy runny and tasteless. Staff not very friendly either. Would not recommend!! So sad to see a once thriving business go so down.

Very disappointed with the food,although tasty, it was like warm.Served with small square fried potatoes, not as described on the menu.Disappointing for my birthday meal.😪

Great stay in a charming, quaint Inn. There was a good selection of food on the menu and the food was genuinely exceptional. The breakfast cooked by Jadie was one of the best we have had, perfectly cooked and great ingredients. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was lovely, comfortable and very clean. Big car park and extensive garden area with great views. Would definitely stay again.

Just had an excellent 3 nights staying at the Bear Inn. All the staff were really friendly. We had breakfasts and evening meals and couldn’t fault anything. Food was absolutely brilliant, freshly cooked and plentiful, the breakfast especially sets you up for the day ahead. This was the third time we’d stayed at the Bear since last October and it didn’t disappoint. We will certainly go back.

The pillows and mattresses are great quality. Good night sleep every night. Rooms are uniquely designed and homely. Chris was especially responsive to both my needs and my friends. His staff are very friendly and courteous. I had the fish and chips on our first night and was pleasantly surprised of the size and quality of the meal. Definitely worth the price. The pub is situated in the middle of local farms and has surreal views sunrise/sunset. Close enough to town if you want to go to the shops but far away enough you have the peace and quiet of the night.

The cleanest, loveliest place I’ve ever stayed, Chris is the most amazing host and the rest of the staff are just at great! Food is unreal, breakfast, lunch or dinner, would defo return! Love the decor, place, vibe, everything! Lovely visit to Derbyshire
