巴利納民族大酒店(Great National Hotel Ballina)

Seul 4* de notre trip de 2 semaines en Irlande, nous avons été déçus : Positif: la chambre, la piscine, le parking Négatif: le déjeuner, ou le mot préféré est « extra-charge ». Si on veut un express ou un chocolat chaud par exemple. Il y avait une machine à eau gazeuse automatique, qui était en panne. Lorsqu’on demandait une bouteille d’eau gazeuse vu que la machine ne fonctionnait pas : extra-charge. Le Hammam, un ascenseur, la machine à eau : tous en panne depuis longtemps visiblement. Le restaurant est bizarrement disposé et la nourriture moyenne. Quantité plus que qualité. Finalement, en demandant tard le soir si je pouvais acheter une bouteille d’eau, on m’a indiqué 3 emplacements différents pour l’automate, que j’ai fini par trouver caché dans un escalier. L’automate était à moitié vide (plus d’eau) et mes deux cartes de crédit n’ont pas été acceptées comme paiement. Bref, il faut d’urgence remettre les choses en panne en état et soigner les détails !!!

Really nice friendly staff. Good sized rooms and really clean. Was supposed to stay for 3 nights but unfortunately due to a health emergency (outside anyone's control) could only stay for 1 night. Hotel refunded us some money which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. Hotels a short drive from the town - may be a bit too far to walk - and looked as though the town had everything you needed in it. Breakfast was buffet style and decent, normal cooked options with cereal, yoghurt, etc be also. Would recommend the home made Banana bread. The evening meal was really nice and great size with lots of decent options - washed down with a pint of Guinness. The hotel is housing refugees and they seem to be segregated away in the restaurant area from hotel guests - I felt awkward when we were being served food in one part and they were queuing for food in the other but that's not their fault and they were no issue. All in all a really nice hotel - shame we couldn't stay here longer.

My spa experience in Eidin at the Great National Hotel was fantastic on both occasions. Indian head massage and also hot stone massage, Niamh is very gifted....a must if you're in Ballina. Also, the relaxation room is a perfect readjus**ent to reality afterwards

been here several times with local friends and always great food,service and looked after very well Thanks to Alex,Corey,Shauna, Jacob and Lorraine for looking after us we will return soon for more delicious food Great addition for Ballina town. Regards,thomas

Visited the hotel for a dinner with friends and we were all amazed by the quality of food,especially their Angus Burger and Chicken. Price is balanced with the quality you're getting. The service was impeccable and everyone at the table were talking about the professionalism and pride in service they provide. We were looked after by Siofra and Alex and they couldn't be more attentive and helpful throughout our dinner. Nothing was an issue for them and left us thinking already about our return. The only minor issue that we found is the interior of the dining room. We found it a bit outdated comparing to the lobby a**osphere. But that won't set us back from returning for more dinners. Thank you to the staff and see you again in the future.

What a lovely stay. Fabulous food lovely staff and a great a**osphere. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They couldn't do enough for us. Always had time for a quick chat. The food was second to none, absolutely beautiful. The accommodation was perfect. The only small downside was that the pool was very cold, we couldn't use it. That doesn't stop me giving this hotel top marks.

Wonderful stay at the Great National Hotel in Ballina. Staff are lovely and were very helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in an accessible room which did come with a shower chair (you would be amazed how many don't!) The room was very roomy and comfortable. The television could do with updating as it felt very early 2000s and it is a bit strange that the mattress is bigger than the bed but otherwise the room was fab (particularly the size of the bed which was luxurious!) Breakfast was pretty good - did really enjoy the homemade banana bread! We also only just made it down on time for it on the Sunday but the staff were lovely and facilitated us! The photos of the pool on the website are a little misleading and it is annoying that it is unavailable at certain times due to swimming lessons. But the bucket shower for use after the sauna and steam room was great! Overall had a great weekend away at an affordable price!

We stayed in the hotel Ballina 2 nights. Some staff was very nice, the guy who is working behind the bar (James?) was amazing! Room was ok, low standard, TV from The Flintstones era. The biggest disappoin**ent swimming pool and sauna - both places were very dirty and require renovation asap! They are more of 3star hotel than 4star. Definitely will never go there again

Had a lovely stay here. Rooms are clean and large. Beds are super comfortable. Had a delicious 3 course meal in McShane's restaurant and were looked after all evening by Ciara, a fantastic young lady who met all of our needs. Ciara made our stay really enjoyable. Great service. Food was also delicious!!
