羅薩尼奇葡萄酒設計酒店(Winery & Design Hotel Roxanich)

Awesome place, friendly staff, beautiful rooms and exterior, good breakfast and the most important nice wines.

Dit hotel heeft een fantastische ligging, met zicht over de wijnvelden en op korte loopafstand van het schilderachtige stadje Motovun. Er is een oud deel dat geheel gerestaureerd is en een aangebouwd deel met o.a. een moderne parkeergarage. Het hotel is ingericht met designmeubelen van o.a. Cassina, Arflex en Wittmann. De kamer die wij kregen was heel bijzonder, kleurrijk uitgevoerd met een groot comfortabel bed met etage. Er is een zwembad en wellness. Tijdens het verblijf kan een wijntour geboekt worden. Alle wijnsoorten komen uit de eigen kelder en kunnen ook gekocht worden. Wij bestelden een fles heerlijke merlot uit 2012. Het diner ‘s avonds was perfect en voor herhaling vatbaar. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug!

Struttura con arredi originali e bella posizione. Servizi pessimo con staff poco professionale e poco attento alle esigenze del cliente. Pulizia mediocre, piscina con poche sdraio e servizio inesistente con chiamata del cameriere con pulsante (manco fossimo tutti in un fast food); all'arrivo alcuni prodotti da bagno già usati e poi solo in parte rimpiazzati i giorni successivi. Piscina fredda ad agosto! Colazione qualità mediocre con prodotti industriali e coda per il servizio a buffet fatto da 1 solo cameriere/a che serviva con le pinzette come fossimo a dieta. Non ci tornerei visto altro prezzo.

Beautiful, modern and very chic hotel. Excellent restaurant for breakfast or dinner. The quality of ingredients is superb. Service is exceptional as well.

Overall, the hotel is very nice with a veranda , where food and drinks are served, that overlooks the rolling hills with many vineyards. It is a beautiful view. Their wine is good and the winery is on site for a fun tour. It is a nice hotel with great staff who are very helpful. The walk isn’t far to take the shuttle up to Motovun Old Town with great view, shops and restaurants. The restaurant with ‘Mondo’ in its name is excellent! Breakfast was good with fruit, oatmeal/cereal, meats, eggs, bread and other options. When thunderstorms hit, they are violent and something to take cover from as the rain is torrential. Wow! As far as the rooms, our group commented on the many quirks like mirrors above the beds, stools needed to reach the beds and ours was the most unique and not for us. I did select it as an upgrade, but it was a mistake. The bed is three feet off the floor with a complete leather siding. While you can roll out of it, the switches aren’t easy to access or the window coverings at the back. It says an amenity is a safe, there wasn’t one. Plus it had some traffic noise so request a room overlooking the vineyard.

We came here to enjoy the sunset over a glass of wine, but we got much more than that. It was a 5 star sunset experience at the marvelous terrace, accompanied with good food and wine, and very professional staff. The waiter was pleasant and educated about their wines, and he recommended a bottle of Rovigno paired with a cold platter. We recommend you try the homemade prosciutto. You will not regret it. We will definitely come back and try other dishes and wines. 🍷🌅

This hotel is a beautiful combination of and old restored building with contemporary architecture for the new parts and winery. The views from the back of the hotel are beautiful and there is a wonderful lawn and pool area. The wine tasting was so informative, well done, nice wines, great facilities. We had dinner and breakfast that were both delicious. We found the rooms to be on the small side. Ask for a room that overlooks the back view.

Oct 21st - Sunday 2pm: We arrived (4 of us) to have a glass of wine and a coffee on the wonderful terrace with a marvellous view. The young waitress was very friendly, after we asked her if we could just have a drink at one the tables already having a couvert, she said - no problem. Two minutes after that the gentleman (obviously the chef) came out explaining to us, that this is not possible, that we are "taking away" place for guests wanting to have lunch - but obnoxiously he said -now you are already here so... Fact is, that the whole terrace was empty, only inside there was a group of some 15 people having lunch. But ok - we decided to stay. Unfortunately I went to the wine shop to see which wine we could buy - hearing - accidentally - how he abused her, saying "I lost an excellent tip from Italians, this is not ok". After hearing this comment, we just left. This gentleman came out asking us why and I told him that this is the best way to lose good customers. So far so bad! With this posting, I just want to alert the owner of ths wonderful hotel & winery (by the way we LOVE Roxanich wines!!) Best regards Igor Rup
