Receptionist in the morning was pleasant had issues in the hotel had to check in later . I asked for 2 double rooms which wasn’t actioned . When checking in later in the day after 4pm a different receptionist gave us 2 double rooms however she was not knowledgeable about the area nor if dinner was from the menu or buffet as she didn’t work in that department ! Miserable girl, hospitality definitely isn’t her forte . Breakfast starts at 8am however the hot breakfast wasn’t laid out till 8;30 and missed our train because of this as we had to rush . It’s imperative breakfast is served at the time stated . Staff were apologetic however this has happened before . Hotel very central and generally very pleasant stay . I would stay again .

Lovely hotel, polite and friendly staff, ample parking, excellent location in the heart of town. Only negative is the stains on the bathroom walls that could easily be removed with a little more attention to detail and the cold tap hardly let out any water. Unfortunately there wasn't any real ale available whilst we were there thus stopping us from enjoying that facility.

Amazing and professional yet personable. We are booked up for another night in January.

The hotel is in a great location in the town centre, near to both the bus and train station, giving easy access to Bath. We opted for breakfast but on each morning there were issues with some breakfast items running out and a delay in them being replenished. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was very good, great food and service. Our room was newly refurbished, I asked for a ground floor room and access was great. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided in the room. Bed was large (super king) and comfortable, great shower. Towels were replaced despite being hung on the towel rail, so disappointed as we were happy to use them again.

We had two nights at this hotel, The receptionist was very helpful and polite , The evening meal was superb ,service was great . Indoor swimming pool was an added bonus ,very clean and tidy. Our room was spacious ,also very clean with decent fluffy towels

This is a very average hotel, old fashioned rooms - cold in winter/hot in summer. Don’t stay on a Thursday - it seems everything is awaiting delivery on a Friday (croissants/bar drinks as a examples). It’s central and there is a nice quiet garden/courtyard area to sit in and free parking, but I would not chose to stay here.

Amazing room, can be a bit noisy as looks over the high street. Hotel menu a bit limited although plenty of options nearby

Room was fresh and clean but mattress not very comfortable. Large tear in duvet cover. Nice to have fan in room but dusty and too powerful for room. Food mediocre at dinner but young wait staff trying their best. After several attempts phoning hotel over a few days before our stay, no one ever answered. After 2 emails heard back from receptionist who said she was busy. When checking out, two receptionists at desk, one of whom was helping someone. Other girl seemed to just stare into the air. I was standing 4 feet from her and after waiting 5-6 minutes, I finally said I wanted to check out and she seemed surprised to find someone standing there. I handed her my key, then asked if she wanted my room number. Perhaps she was new and being trained? Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Our 2 night stay was very good no complaints. if I had to complain it would be the doors banging shut they could do with 'easy close' things on the doors. Also a bit more variety on the evening meal menu, not just peas and mash Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
