Arrived late night for family business in town, checked in and swiped card for incidentals. After this was all done, I was handed a pre printed flyer stating that the hotel had no water because of some local maintenance and that I wouldn’t have a sink, shower, or toilet for the night (which is 50% of what a hotel is.) The fridge had several half consumed water bottles in it. The hotel has refused responsibility and won’t compensate, stating water issues are out of their control. (Contacting guests is not out of their control.)
The water outage was pre planned and all other local businesses closed at 9 that evening in advance. This hotel chose to keep its guests in the dark, charge full price, and offer nothing with no advance notice of the water outage. A phone call or email would’ve allowed us to make other accommodations.
Grove City has lots of hotels - pick any other one if you’re visiting. (Still a fan of **********, none of this their fault.)
