We booked a family room & they advised they only had doubles left, in the end it was sorted but wasn’t a great process.

I was slightly wary to book this hotel due to the reviews and going by the images online it looked like it was randomly placed in some sort of sketchy industrial state. But as I was just looking for a budget hotel for a night or two ( and this was the closest hotel to the area I needed) I booked it, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised! You do have drive behind a garage and past an old derelict building. But they have a car park which I think is watched by an external company through the night. They also lock the main doors after 10om but your hotel key lets you in and then there is a second set of doors that only lets you in via an electric key fob. So I felt very safe staying here. As soon as I stepped into the reception area I was very surprised l. It was bright, cheerful looking and very clean. The lady on the reception desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and had a nice clean smell to it (not a chemical smell). My room was simple but effective, very spacious, very clean and the bed was nice and comfy. They have a nice little wardrobe area and small tea/coffee section. It was exactly what I needed for my stay. There was no iron in the room but I just popped dowb to reception and again the lady behind the desk was lovely enough too lend me and iron and a board and helped me carry them up to my room. I also asked for extra sugar and milk and again the gentleman behind the desk was very helpful and friendly, handed some boxes and said take as much as you like and checked if I needed anything else. I also particularly liked that they had a selection of menus and list of restaurants and pubs in reception. A few things to note is that the hotel does not have a lift so if you are disabled you need to specific you need a room downstairs. The bath was very small, which could also be a bit troublesome if you like a bath.

Quiet, clean and basic. We can not fault it. A little dated but it did the job for us. Place to crash , use the facilities and hit the road. Wendy and manager Falk were very helpful and engaging. By the way, it is not that hard to find, I believe it's on the old A14.

Business trip to Suffolk. This hotels location was spot on for us. Brilliant service by receptionist. Room was spotless and warm. Although, there are no shops near by but you can order from town , almost anything you like. Comfy bed, clean bathroom and very quiet place. Definitely recommend it.

We were deeply disappointed, bathroom looked liked it hadn't ever been cleaned, it was brown and I used a wet wipe just to see what colour it was and I was right. Scum around the bath sealant and mould. You could see the bed base as mattress wasnt on square, there was dirty substance, crumbs etc on it. At night the bathroom stunk of dirty drains.

Greeted at reception by rachel very proffessional very polite dressed very smart a credit to the travelodge team.room was clean bed comfy shower good what more does a man need.good location for me as im working away wouldnt be ant good for a family as there is nothing about.plenty of takeaway delivery services if your a bit peckish seem quiet enough unlike other travelodges my phone signal works so saved myself 3 quid on wifi .all in all a nice friendly place to get your head down

Better than average, but next grade is very good, whereas good is more appropriate. The location was fine, but the surrounding buildings and business yards somewhat spoilt the area. Particularly on arrival in the dark, and seeing the disused, almost derelict building at the entrance.

Rachel at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. We arrived on a cold February night and the rooms were warm and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep and would highly recommend the travel lodge in Stowmarket.

I stayed here for work last week, cheap and cheery hotel but it had everything I needed and the location was close to stowmarket where I was working. Staff were well presentable and very helpful. Always polite. Room had everything I needed. Bed was clean and comfortable. Will use again for future work stays.

A two night stay whilst visiting friends and as my title suggests, it did the job perfectly well. To be brief let me outline the good and bad points: The Good The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and very comfortable The bed was comfortable too In-room Coffee and tea very welcome The Bad I purchased Wi-fi for the full period, but sadly couldn't connect even following all the written instructions and assistance from a member of staff. The additional pillows are a little hard. The shower is over the bath which is ok however, the non- slip base of the bath has worn away so if you use the body wash supplied makes the bath very slippery. they should supply a rubber mat! Finally the establishment is located behind a lorry park and a closed down "Little Chef", which doesn't make it look very appealing when you drive in. But most importantly for us "it did what it said on the tin"!

Great night sleep at this hotel. We have stayed in other budget hotels recently and haven't had much luck but we enjoyed our stay. Rachel on the reception desk was very helpful when we asked for local supermarkets. Would stay again and recommend this hotel.

Although the building is maybe getting a little tired it offered a clean room and adequate facilities. I would particularly commend Roland on reception for his warm welcome and willingness to offer any assistance needed. It does what it says on the tin .

The Travelodge room had all he essential amenities needed to have a safe, warm and comfortable stay. Value for money is excellent.

Located in a quiet place, well maintained with excellent service and reasonable price for the location. Well done.
