米德爾堡酒店(Middlebury Inn)

Reserved a single-night stay in a room with a king bed and kitchenette in the annex. While the old Middlebury Inn building is quaint with historical charms, the annex is like staying in a roadside motel, except there is no cost savings for all that is lacking. A 3/4 inch crack under the entry door - presumably to allow easy access for mice and pests, cracked and shifted tiles on the bathroom floor, a bathtub that looks like it came from a 1950's row house with plumbing fixtures to match, and a sliding door with a layer of filth in the track that opens to NOTHING - just a railing to keep people from falling out - are a few of the more negative highlights of the room. Internet access was unavailable, and upon inquiry the front desk said it was "due to the weather!" (Note - It was 80 degrees with light rain at the time.) Worst of all, there was no hot water in the building on the morning of our stay. Instead of a shower, took a lukewarm sponge bath using a bowl of water heated in the microwave oven. Guess that is what the kitchenette is for! To the good... the location was great; the bed comfortable; the restaurant was good though a bit expensive; and the front desk employees were friendly while they were being unhelpful. It is slim pickings for places to stay in Middlebury, VT, but if other alternatives exist, go there first.

I booked a room for my family thinking we would be staying in the Middlebury Inn, based on the pictures. Instead, we were put in an adjacent motel room in the back of the parking lot near the staff cigarette break area. The room smelled musty and not very clean when we entered, and when we turned on the AC to get some fresh air, it smelled of mold. We couldn't open the windows because of the cigarette smell from outside. My daughter has asthma and breathing issues, so I was concerned that the AC coming on and off would trigger that. It really needs to be cleaned. Luckily, we found a great place to eat and a playground within walking distance, so we only had to sleep in the room. I wouldn't have been so disappointed if I had paid maybe $150 for a motel, but this was $350 for a classic inn (which we didn't get). The breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious, thank goodness.

Dining was a problem. Dinner tacos were terrible. Taco tasted cardboard, fish was inedible. Server unpleasant. Breakfast was French toast that wasn’t completely cooked. Meghan, employee, was wonderful. Doing several jobs at once and pleasant the whole time. Not sure where the servers were most of the time.

Disappointed. We were put in the motel room part of the inn that was barely compatible with typical chain motels. The dining room was very nice but the food was expensive and not very good except for the popcorn shrimp appetizer. Martini and basic scotch drink were small and appeared to be watered down. Would not stay there again.

Convenient and well kept college inn. The free, spacious parking is muchappreciated. The lobby has a comforting New England Inn vibe. Love Morgan's Tavern. Highly recommend the Vermont Cheddar omelet, you will enjoy the authenticity of the sharp cheddar!

King room at the tippity top of the Inn was quiet, tucked away, well climatised and decorated with an iconic New England aesthetic. It also had a terrific view of the village. I would highly recommend it for 1-2 travellers.

We stayed in a room in the original Inn. It was a terrific mix of beautiful original details with modern amenities. We loved our stay! And also highly recommend the restaurant - breakfast was delicious.

I always stay at the Middlebury inn. Cant say enough about the staff and spacious rooms here in the Annex building. Looking forward to my next trip there! Thank you!!!
