The property was nicely located for Freeway access, but there wasn't much in the way of dining except for a Dee's across the parking lot. My issues at check in were 1) there was only one staff on duty, a line had formed, and the process was exceedingly slow because 2) there wasn't enough maid service and the clerk had to search laboriously through a list to find a clean room and 3) no clean rooms were available until about 45 minutes after their posted check in time. To continue, after skiing the one thing I wanted was a jacuzzi but 4) the hotel's was broken and 5) so was the elevator, so I had to trudge up and down stairs with my gear for the whole visit. You'd think for $145 a night rooms would be ready, machinery would work and there would be daily maid service, which there was not

This hotel is located in an industrial area. There are some restaurants around, but to get to Salt Lake City or the ski areas east of the city, you have to negotiate complicated highway cloverleafs. We found this cumbersome. We caught a man attempting to break into our vehicle at about 7 pm one evening and made a point of parking as close to the hotel and in lighted areas as possible after that. The hotel was a little run down. The ice machine didn’t work, the closet door squeaked badly, the shower faucet wouldn’t stay where you put it, and the walls were thin. That said, the staff work hard to make your stay pleasant, and eating at nearby Chungas was a highlight.

Great hotel, convenient for the business stay of this trip. Approximately 12-15 minutes from downtown - to still convenient to get out for dinner. Dee's Diner is in the same parking area. Greasy diner that does good food. Has the Spanish omelet one morning and the veggie omelet the next. I did rate the cleanliness one step down from excellent. First night there, I went to use the ice bucket and found tissue and gum wrapper in the bucket. It was promptly exchanged at the front desk. It wouldn't have happened in the first place. They do have an indoor fitness area and indoor pool and hot tub. I didn't use these areas in this trip, but good to know they are available.
