達納陽台精品旅館(Las Terrazas de Dana Boutique Lodge & Spa)

Un hôtel fort coquet avec des jardins de fleurs partout et plein de colibris. Petit-déjeuner savoureux. On peut aussi y prendre d’autres repas. Cet hôtel est à environ 15 minutes de marche du centre-ville de Mindo. Un taxi coûte qq dollars si on ne veut pas marcher. Nous préférions être un peu à l’écart de Mindo. Le propriétaire est fort accueillant de même que tout le personnel. La chambre est spacieuse et propre, le lit fort confortable. Si vous recherchez confort et nature, vous ne serez pas déçus.

Loved this lodge! Rooms were lovely with a view. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond everyday. Room service in a flash and using WhatsApp to talk with the lodge is a great idea! They responded within minutes everytime. Bonus: It's a 10 minute walk to the chair lift/cable car /waterfall trails! Highly recommend this activity as long as you aren't scared of heights.

We spent 3 nights in October and could not have had a better experience. How can I say thanks for the kindnesses shown by Marco, David and Freddy. From assisting a couple in their 60's transport luggage to a beautiful room up a hill, practicing Spanish, genuine connection and conversation and a serving spirit we can't thank you enough. On a practical side, the room was amazing, spacious and with a balcony to watch birds from and relax perfect. I appreciate the textured floors and shower bars as most other locations we stayed in Ecuador utilized shiny floor tile in baths and showers which made it slippery when wet. I felt very safe from falls in their bathrooms if you are getting up their in age and sometimes unsteady on your feet. Bird tours arranged by Marco were very economical. The food was delicious from breakfast to dinner. The pool area is beautiful with convenient bathrooms so you don't have to hike up the hill to your room. Mindo is a short inexpensive taxi ride away for chocolate tours, butterflies, hummingbirds and orchids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Las Terrazas for a stay in Mindo.

I stayed in various types of lodging in Ecuador. I was there to bird so we were often in the middle of nowhere so to speak. Mindo seems to thrive on tourism so my expectations were up in terms of where we stayed. Terrazas does not disappoint. There is actually quite good birding on their property (feeders, native trees and a good view of the sky …..so many Cattle Egret just before sunset). Comfortable room, hot water, lovely balcony and good food. My itinerary was planned by my guide but if I go to Mindo again I would stay here. I got lifers at this location too!

We stayed at Dana for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is set in an enclosed complex on a hillside with amazing views of the rainforest and surrounded by beautiful gardens and a well maintained pool. There is a spa, however we did not use that facility. The rooms were tastefully decorated with tv, good WiFi and a balcony to sit out on to enjoy the views and wildlife. The bathrooms were clean but the stickers on the spa bath tiles were peeling off and the bath towels were rather small and worn. (Hopefully, these items will be rectified.) Soaps, shampoo and conditioner were all supplied. We got the feeling that rooms 1 and 2 were some of the first rooms to be built. Perhaps an upgrade is due as the other rooms on the website looked much fresher. The food in the hotel was very tasty and served on the first floor with great views. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We ate in a couple of evenings and the food was always delicious. Mindo town itself had quite a few cafes and restaurants which were clean and served good food. There is a constant supply of free coffee, tea and water in reception which was a nice touch. Other drinks could be purchased including a wide variety of alcoholic drinks. We took a trip into the cloud forest by way of the lift. I would recommend a guided tour to do this as we did not find all the waterfalls that we knew were there. Bird watching tours can also be organised. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were all so friendly and could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Their spoken English was also superb which made our life a lot easier and put our lack of Spanish to shame. We would happily return to Las Terrazas de Dana and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I’ve chosen the title “Home away from home” because of the wonderful friendliness of all the staff. At the end of our 8 day stay it was more like leaving old friends than just saying farewell to hotel staff and management. Apart from this, the wonderful view from our room was across the valley to the mountains, our terrace surrounded by bushes or trees that attracted a variety of birds. It had a large comfortable bed, remarkably quiet nights and a decent size bathroom. Dinner prices are on the high side for Ecuador, but in return you may find that you are alone, or sharing the evening terrace with just one other couple, appreciating the view, the boutique brewery German style beer and excellent food. The Manager, Marco, and owner, David, were unfailingly charming and helpful. The only negative was that, although the lavatory had its own wooden door, the bathroom had no door, so that light from the outside pathways filtered into the bedroom, not strongly, but it took a little getting used to. Everything else was perfect. Mindo was an excellent base for birding, with a variety of habitats within 90 minutes and some of the best birding within half an hour. Lad Terrazas de Dana was the ideal base from which operate.

Muy bonito lugar, me dio gusto conocer un espacio así de bueno en medio de la naturaleza, la atención muy buena y las instalaciones como tal también. Lo que daría como recomendación es colocar aire acondicionado en las habitaciones o un ventilador porque en ocasiones el calor si afecta y la cobertura del wi-fi era débil.
