米諾誇燈塔旅館(The Beacons of Minocqua)

My husband and I are here through an I get Interval International voucher for spring break since flights are too expensive. We ended up getting what is basically the first snow of the season and rain, so hiking was out of the question. We were pleased to be assigned a lake side room. It has a well stocked kitchen and has an outdated, but appropriate north woods furniture. We enjoyed the fireplace and using the large table for puzzles and games. They have a nice indoor pool, workout room, reading area and lots of DVDs to rent. Deer stood right outside our window. We were able to find a trivia night and music at some local bars. This place would be great for a family with kids especially in the summer.

Fun place for kids! Good energy and summer vibe. Really nice grounds, docks, pool/hot tub, friendly staff. Our unit had a few issues...hot water would switch to cold, air conditioning barely working, and pretty minimal supplies for a family of 5...one tiny body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Would have been nice to know to bring that and your own coffee (they provide one day worth). If known would have been no biggie Beds were comfortable and place was very clean. We can't wait to go back!

This is our 3rd time staying here for a family reunion. Our family came from Florida, Georgia, Wisconsin, Alabama and Minnesota to spend four nights. We rented Cabin 163 as well as several rooms in the lodge. The family that stayed in the lodge were pleased with everything overall. My comments are based on staying in the cabin. PROS: Beautiful location *Great check-in experience. Host was very friendly and fun. *Nice amenities *Cabin kitchen very well equipped *Cozy floor plan with beautiful stone gas fireplace on main level *Lower level den with bedroom and gas Franklin Stove (walkout to fire pit) NEGATIVES: *Free Cabin internet was useless. No one was able to connect to the 1 bar. I called to address this and was told I could upgrade for a fee. I upgraded to the “black” package which I was informed was high speed. It was anything but high speed. The signal was so poor once again no one could stay connected for more than a minute. We all ended up using our hotspots which thankfully we brought with us. *Cabin in need of repairs. The sliding door base sill from the kitchen/dining area to back deck is completely rotten and covered with green moss and mold. *Lower level bedroom very musty smelling (other areas were fine). *Dishwasher needs to be replaced. Very noisy and does a poor job even when dishes are rinsed clean before loading. *Oven very dirty (not sure it’s ever been cleaned). *Windows & Screens dirty. Weather was conducive to opening windows but sills and screens were loaded with spiderwebs, dead insects and general dirt. *Exterior decks in dire need of power washing.

Stayed in condo 103. It was perfect. Excellent view of the lake and a two bedroom two bathroom fully equipped unit the most comfortable swivel rockers that face the fireplace or turn to enjoy the view of the lake. Right in front of the boat docks and nearly perfect in every way.

Checked into the Beacons after a terrible stay at Lake of the Torches in Lac Du Flambeau. The Beacons condos were a breath of fresh air considering the nigh**are stay at the Torches. Very clean condo, new appliances and a great view of Minocqua. They did a great job finding us a rental on zero notice!
