Would not recommend anyone staying here. The design of the rooms is okay, however the cleanliness of the room and smell in the bathroom could have been better. The overall maintenance of the facility could have been better. The service is slow in the restaurant and the DJ is playing loud music all evenings until 11 pm (nice if you’re out for great vibe, not if you want to sleep). The pool looks dirty. The only good thing is the location, close to the beach.

We stayed here for a night. The location is beautiful - right next to the sea beach. The food is awesome and the breakfast choices completely overwhelm you in a nice way. We had freshly made pizzas for dinner and they tasted great. The room was big, spacious and very modern. The staff was extremely helpful in telling us directions and useful tips to go around the place. There is a marketplace about a kilometre away, where you can get your required stuff. There is a money changer right across the road (part of a jewellery shop). While the hotel accepts credit card payments, one would need local money for all other payments. Also there are multiple activities like surfing classes - which are very affordable. I would definitely come back here whenever I am here next.

Wir sind Deutsche aber ausnahmsweise keine Touristen, wir leben in Sri Lanka und wohnen im eigenen Haus/Hotel 10 Minuten landeinwärts. Mindestens einmal pro Woche kommen wir ins W15, weil wir alles hier mögen: kaltes Bier, prima Essen, sehr freundlichen und guten Service, edle Cocktails und einen firstclass-Platz am Meer. Wir kommen immer mittags, weil dann keine Musik ist, die nicht wir nicht so mögen. Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Disappointing and overpriced. The first thing we were told as we were seated was that there is 20% tax and 10% service charge so a 30% charge on top of what you spend. There is very little choice of vegetarian options so I went for the mushroom pasta with parmesan shavings. When my meal arrived there was no parmesan shavings so I asked for some, only to be told they had none at all, so they offered to bring a similar cheese which I said was OK. Mozzarella is what they brought me. I said Mozzarella is nothing like parmesan and so they offered me a different option so I ended up with a tiny Beetroot salad starter for my dinner. Had they said when I originally ordered the food that they had no parmesan at all then this whole situation could have been avoided. The fries that come with the burger is the smallest portion, possibly 15 skinny fries A tiny glass of Cabernet Sauvignon was £7.50 which is UK prices but not UK quality. We paid high prices for mediocre food and service. We'd never go back. Try Karumba which is next door, lots more choice of food at reasonable prices.

Localização excelente o hotel está em cima da praia e tem a piscina a meio caminho, o quarto era muito grande com uma varanda com vista mar. Staff simpático e preços do restaurante muito em conta. A melhorar: Durante a happy hour os cocktails são muito limitados, apenas Run cola e vodka cola disponíveis. O pequeno almoço não tem muita variedade

We had an amazing experience at W15 Hanthana. This quaint little bungalow offered a relaxing atmosphere and cool weather, which was refreshing. The staff was also fantastic. They were very accommodating and took good care of us. The food was also great, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. A special thank you to Sheriff (butler), Chef Shamith and the manager for making our stay memorable.
