卡納爾格蘭德PHI酒店(Phi Hotel Canalgrande)

It is a very well-located hotel, right in the "heart" of Modena. It's in the ZTL zone, not to worry, the staff were very vigilant & assisted with the ZTL coupon which was valid for the stay. The hotel is a bit "old", so don't expect much, however, the rooms are nicely furnished. Mattresses are firm to my liking and there is enough toiletries. Breakfast was sumptuous! A delicious spread & of high quality. Note as the hotel is a bit old, don't expect top grade elevators - they are narrow, and the rooms a bit "hollow". Opens up to the balcony with excellent "minor" view of the basilica. However, sound travels and you can hear the next door neighbour if they speak loudly or slam the door. Parking, however, is a nigh**are, as expected of this very narrow town. No fault of the hotel itself. You can find parking nearby, may have to walk 5-6 mins. The excellent English speaking Reception/Check In Staff will assist with that & all my questions were answered.

Hotel in posizione perfetta, in centro in un bel palazzo storico. Gli interni abbondano di moquette, che, ai giorni nostri sarebbe opportuno togliere, camere accettabili e bagno nella norma (ma non molto comodo). Colazione ok. Essendo in ZTL, la struttura (ovviamente in accordi col comune) offre l'accesso libero e la sosta gratuita per tutta la durata del soggiorno, ottimo. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile

Hotel in posizione centralissima per andare a teatro o per visitare la città , edificio storico molto elegante. Personale gentilissimo e professionale Ci torneremo sicuramente

This is on paper a 4* hotel. I am sorry to say that it is at best 3* and only the price is 4*. The room I had was incredibly dated, looked as though nobody put a coat of paint in it for at least 20 years. I was supposed to be on my own in the room, but unfortunately shared it with ants although the room was on the first floor. The shower drain was semi-clogged so when showering one always ends with water up to the ankles. The sockets work only with the old-style Italian three-pin plug, so of no use unless one brings an adapter. The fridge was unplugged when I got to the room with then just mentioned adapter missing. Staff - with the exception of a young lady at reception - looked by and large tired and unhappy because they had to deal with then guest. Garden is beautiful - but was of limited use at 38C during my stay. The nice rooms in the photos are just for display, since they are not either aimed or used for any purpose. Having today moved to another Phi hotel, in the centre of Bologna, the contrast is even starker. This one is a true 4* hotel.

お部屋も広くて清潔でしたし、元貴族の館ということで装飾などもとても素敵でしたが、なによりスタッフの笑顔とホスピタリティとプロ意識が最高でした。朝食も種類豊富で毎朝楽しみでした。お庭が見える部屋だったので朝一番に窓を開けるのが楽しみでした。モデナにまた行くことがあれば必ず泊まりたいおすすめのホテルです。

Excellent rapport qualité prix pour cet hôtel design en plein cœur de la vieille ville. Le personnel est adorable et serviable. Quant à la chambre, rien à redire : celle-ci était au-delà de nos attentes. Très bonne adresse !

Struttura in ottima posizione. Personale gentilissimo e colazione fantastica con la possibilità di farla in un meraviglioso giardino. Peccato che la camera era un po piccolina e da rimodernare e togliendo la moquette . Comunque lo consiglio e ci ritornerei assolutamente.
