萊蒙泰野外酒店(Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat)

If you are looking for a remote wilderness cabin up in the trees, then this place is it. The cabin we stayed in was not modern, but rustic and the bed was comfortable. The view and feeling from the balcony of being amongst the forest was nice and peaceful. The drive up to the retreat is on a gravel road, but in good condition. Appreciated that there was restaurant open for dinner, and we enjoyed the food there. Breakfast was included, but would have been great if the breakfast room could be renovated to provide a nicer setting or to include a view

Authentic …definitely remote - 8 k off the main road down a gravel track. Stunning drive in . We were upgraded to a spa cabin so good to chill in the hot tub after 7 hours on Cradle Mountain . Staff lovely, we used local walks Champagne and Bridal falls walk was excellent but I would say challenging if you are not a regular hiker. Wi Fi patchy but you are in the wilderness. Breakfast / Dinner good . Cradle Mountain not far 30 mins drive- petrol there too! Very happy 😊

I have visited here on a few occasions, before the current owners renovated, it’s a much different place now, we were told on arrival that we were early to check in our room was not ready, that was fine, we took the walk to both the Champagne falls, and the Bridal veil falls, a walk I had before, it was much harder than I recall but then again I may have been 30 years younger. On our return well after the 2 pm check in time we were given our key, but found our room had not been prepared….I must say the young lady Kate, went overboard to apologise and offered us drinks while we waited, what was a disappointment soon turned into a pleasure as we luxuriated in the room spa, to ease tired legs. We were offered free dinner in compensation which was very nice, though waiting for food took a while, the food looked promising on the menu, but disappointed a little in the delivery, especially breakfast the next morning, a five star restaurant chef should know how to poach eggs. All this aside what a great place to visit our room was excellent and surpassed our expectations, clean well appointed, warm and luxurious.

Rustic retreat, very warm comfortable cabins. Great food in the onsite restaurant, neat little gift shop. Extensive walking trails kms long, watch out for snakes ! you never know what will come out or when

Amazing Stay The hotel is located down a long dirt track going deeper and deeper into forest, it’s peaceful, secluded and surrounded by nature. Upon arrival we were greeted by Briddie a very friendly and helpful young lady. The room was amazing. Spacious, clean, warm and inviting. The staff are wonderful. Stephen greeted us both mornings, very upbeat and friendly and extremely helpful. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Dylan was our Chef and that young man can cook! Delicious perfectly cooked and professionally presented meals, we wish we were staying longer to try more of the food that’s on offer. Finally, Briddie - she is a superstar! Receptionist, information desk, restaurant manger, bar manager, waitress - she did I all and didn’t stop! Very attentive to guests needs and wants and so friendly and professional. We would highly recommend this place, whether you are after amazing food, beautiful scenery, peace and serenity or a luxury getaway!

What an amazing place to end our Tasmania holiday. We stayed in a delux spa cabin. The room was clean, the spa amazing with views of rainforest and the massage chair was definitely a great addition after some gruelling hikes at Cradle Mountain and around the lodge itself. The food was great, it is $5-$7 dearer per meal than we are used to in Adelaide but we were aware of this and budgeted it in and we couldn’t fault the food at all. They feed the local wildlife at night and this was a great experience. We found the staff friendly and laid back which fit in beautifully with the theme of retreat and rustic wilderness lodge. I feel the bad reviews on here are from pretentious people who require to be treated like royalty. Come here with a plan to relax, refresh and enjoy what the lodge has to offer and you’ll have an amazing experience. :) Aaron and Ally
