Great stay, we had the camp to ourselves. Glamping as you'd expect. Lovely tent with proper decor that gives you that "safari chique" feeling. Finally some good beds and good airconditioning in one of these! Chathuni was a great guide, lively and doing everything to give you the best experience and spotting the coolest animals Highly recommended, thanks for having us!

This was an exceptional tour in my life and one of a kind safari. We camped in the middle of Kumana National Park, near Kumbukkan Oya for 3 nights. The nearest civilization was more than 20km away. Mobile phones were dead. It was full of excitement, nature, beauty, fear and joy. We encounter wild creatures including few leopards. The camp leopard team was very dedicated to make the tour a success. Chathu was amazing. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was outstanding. The food was delicious. Team is doing a marvelous job. I would like to thank Marc for giving me this opportunity. No one should hesitate to book this safari. This was the best of the best. Worth every penny.

Our trip won’t be the same without her. Chathu!!! she is an amazing young lady, an environmental scientist, a wildlife expert, smart and extremely friendly. She engaged my children closely with her knowledge. This place, Camp Leopard is absolutely amazing. Set in an authentic jungle experience, build with love in a sustainability approach, easy access to Yala National Park and BOO BOO ..you are always in our heart. Meals provided were exactly what I wanted. Presented in a traditional Sri Lanka style, everyday is delicious. Marc never fails to feed what I want. The whole team are wonderful, they were naturally friendly and helpful. This trip is truly unforgettable, we found what we are looking for! Thank you Marc!

My partner and I did a two day one night stay at Camp Leopard. In that time we did a dusk and dawn Safari, and the experience was INCREDIBLE! Everything from the accomodation, the staff, the food, the safari to the camp’s dogs was amazing! We arrived outside of the camp grounds and were greeted by Chathu, our safari guide and wildlife expert. Chathu is a positive person with a great sense of humour. She made us feel very welcome before the three of us hopped in the back of the truck to be taken to Camp Leopard. When we arrived, we were greeted by the rest of the Camp Leopard team, Tharaka, Milhara, Laiiya, and Handa. Along with the camp’s friendly canines. The accomodation is very nice, but be mindful you don’t leave any food in your bags. Unless you want thieves in the form of squirrels helping themselves to your items. Apparently they’re a fan of coffee sachets, as my partner found out 😂. However, we were warned. The safari itself is one of our best experiences from our time in Sri Lanka. But please note, it is luck on the day as to what animals you’ll see. You’re dealing with wildlife and it’s always a roll of the dice where that’s concerned. With that said, during our two safaris, we were blessed to see the big 5 (leopard, wild bore, water buffalo, sloth bear and elephants). The food that the camp provides is delicious. We were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan lunch and dinner during our stay, both times we were given more food than we could consume. After the dinner we had s’mores over a camp fire and good conversations with fellow guests at the camp. The experience with camp leopard is one we can’t recommend enough. And we consider it a must if you’re visiting Yala National Park.

Ich habe noch nie so freundliches und engagiertes Personal erlebt wie im Camp Leopard! Vom Willkommen bis zum Abschied achtet jeder auf das Wohlergehen der Gäste und ist bemüht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Bei unserer Anreise und des ganzen Aufenthalts war ich leider krank, wurde aber durchgehend umsorgt und habe mich dadurch Bestens aufgehoben gefühlt, obwohl wir mitten in der Wildnis waren. Alle typisch sri lankanischen Mahlzeiten waren sehr umfangreich und lecker! Die Zelte waren geräumig und schön eingerichtet! Man hat sich umsorgt gefühlt wie bei Oma Zuhause. Es hat uns hier an nichts gefehlt!

Nous avons été très chaudement accueillis par le personnel du camps, tout le monde est très souriant et attentionné. Notre hôtesse parlait très bien anglais ce qui nous a permits d’échanger très facilement avec elle ! Le campement est adorable, avec plein de petites lumières partout. Les tentes confortables. Les repas délicieux (nourriture locale), avec feu de camps en prime et chamallow sur le feu! Tout était génial nous avons passé une superbe soirée, je vous le recommande vivement 😀

It is hard to describe the feeling that surrounds the place. It is unbelievable. Everything is thought to little detail which made our experecience the most exciting. It is totally worth every dollar spent. The staff is extremely friendly, intelligent, and respective to the environment. We had picked two safari package and would choose the same option once more. The time in the safari flies and it is possible to see amazing animals there. We have encountered two leopards, a herd of elephants, numerous single elephants, buffallos, crocks, birds and much more. As an advice, I would be patient to wait for the reply from the team over whatsapp because they really pay great attention to the guests and are short of time to reply to all the messages that they get online. Amazing experience at Camp Leopard. Marc arranged a wonderful safari for us (group of 4) and we spotted all the big 5 animals. Chathu was our guide and she was just fantastic: extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, despite doing this frequently. Given how happy and cohesively the team works, you just know that Marc takes good care of them and has set up something special. Thank you. I'm proud that Sri Lanka has beautiful experiences like this to offer, and will be recommending to other travelers.
