À notre arrivée, la chambre n’etait pas prête, même si nous avions demandé une priorité. Je comprend qu’ils ne peuvent le garantir, mais le personnel à la réception manquait d’empathie et de débrouillardise. On nous a envoyé se promener dans l’hotel, mais sans nous expliquer les choix qui s’offraient à nous ou les option de restauration. Près de la piscine, l’option nourriture était fermée et il n’y avait pas assez de verres pour pouvoir nous servir deux verres de vin. Nous avons donc du aller au restaurant principal, où l’ambiance et le look était très ordinaire (pas de nappe, pichet de plastique Molson Ex pour une sangria) on ne pouvait pas s’installer dehors et le menu était très restreint. Ils ne semblent pas entretenir le batiment. Les chambres régulières ne valent aucunement le 500$ par nuit! C’est vieillot de chez vieillot, peu d’espace, salle de bain de motel, petite fenetre, aucun balcon. J’aurais aimé qu’on me propose à mon arrivée une chambre rénovée, j’aurais été prête à debourser un peu plus rendue là pour ce petit extra. Bref on ne sent pas dans un Farimount. Il faut aller à l’extérieur pour profiter de la beauté du site, mais dehors le service est manquant. Le gros hit est l’accueil des valets. Eux, font un travail extraordinaire et sont hyper courtois! Le reste du personnel manque encore de formation à mon avis.

We’ve stayed at Le Chateau Montebello many times over the past 20 years and were unfortunately disappointed with this stay. We were advised to not drink the tap water and to request bottled water from the front desk. We gave up after three calls. The pools were rather dirty. The breakfast buffet was no where near the quality that it used to be and the pub restaurant was closed. It just seemed that all the little things that we used to be able to count on with a five-star hotel were not there any more.

Have been to property many times and know what to expect. Room prices are high which i was prepared for but did not expect 1) a toilet seat ready to fall off 2) towel rack on wall loose 3) tub retro cover cheap 4) a drippy toilet valve Would have been nice to have a clock in rm

My husband and I went for our babymoon and it was a wonderful stay. Resort is huge and beautiful inside and out. There's a ton of different areas to explore inside, including the seating areas around the lobby fireplace and the game tables on the third floor. The indoor pool is gorgeous and the hotel is a short walk into the town of Montebello. We also checked our Parc Omega which is a must visit. For dining we ate at the hotel and also in town at Le Bistro. Both were delicious, but Le Bistro was almost 50% cheaper. There's also McDonald's, Tim's, Metro etc in the town of Papineauville (about 5 min drive away). Cons: - Hotel needs to update signs at front entrance. You can drive up and leave your bags with concierge/valet and self park but they dont advertise this. We had to call when we arrived to ask which lot we can park in. Saw lots of people dragging their bags from far parking lot to lobby. - An indoor map is needed. We had to ask where and when meals were served. Wouldve been nice to get a brochure with this info at check-in - Seasonal brochure of on-site activities would be great. Had to ask or look it up online each time we came across an activity. -Indoor pool was always cold. Also the evening staff there seemed like they were just counting down the hours until closing which made the vibe very awkward.

I’ve stayed here several times over the years but not in a while. The hotel needs upgrading as it is getting old. Still very good ambience in the lobby. Staff training indifferent. Stayed in an over-expensive junior suite in a basement that had nothing for us except the usual tea and coffee. Not even a card saying “welcome” or a little chocolate. Also it needed to be better maintained: peeling wall paper, broken base board heater. But the biggest disappointment was the restaurant for dinner. Couldn’t make the mixed drink we ordered. Out of oysters, lamb shank tough, server inattentive. But to end more positively, the breakfast buffet was excellent!
