罐頭廠街旅館(Cannery Row Inn)

Friendly staff, solid location, decent WiFi and generally clean and has the basics down. Better for sightseeing than for those staying in, I think. Quick things to note: they don't allow late checkouts, just fyi, but otherwise you just drop your keys in a box to check out. The vending machines are also located in an open area, which is nice for when I visited but could become an issue if it's raining... The balconies are really nice, and the location is insanely convenient. It's about 10ish minutes to walk to the aquarium, and it's a block (or half, if you go out the back!) to the waterfront. There's solid food and sightseeing options here too. They do have a decent parking lot, but there's a ton you can see in Monterey by walking, and this hotel is perfect for a lot of those. What's missing here: a common dining area and breakfast, for one. Rooms aren't cramped but most furnishing is basic. Don't expect anything fancy, essentially. All that said, it's a solid choice if you're actually going out and sightseeing vs spending tons of time here. And if you do, they have some pretty nice patios and some rooms have balconies overlooking a trail.

Located in a great area, easy to walk to the main attractions in town. The room was big and spacious but lacking in a lot of things. There was only 1 lamp on one side of the bed and it had no lampshade. The other side of the bed had no lamp at all. There were no decorations or paintings on the walls, the room felt bare. The bathroom was really nice. But the room itself was lackluster.

Dated premises but they did not skimp on the bits of quality comfort that make all the difference in what's really important in a comfortable stay. Loved the bedding and high ceilings and bathroom touches that make it feel more luxurious than the humble exterior and lobby.

Location was good for Cannery Row but garage is below rooms. Lots of noise from vehicles coming in and parking, loud music. On Cannery Row side of building people we’re walking by until late in the night. Rooms need updating. Beds mattresses linen ect!

Location is great! Cannery row is just around the corner. Less than a mile walk to the aquarium. Also less than a mile walk the other direction is custom house plaza and the cute warf with shops and restaurants. We parked at the hotel and never used the car until we left which was great. The carpets are definitely old but room was clean including bathroom. We liked this place for its location and very large room, but we spent our day being out and about, really just slept in the room so it was perfect

아름다운 몬테레이 해변에 가성비 좋은 호텔입니다. 아기자기하고 아주 깔끔해요. 근처에 가게가 거의 없어서 도보로 해결되는게 별로 없는 단점이 있지만 그래서 조용하고, 차로 10분이내에 fisherman's whatf가 있어서 거기에 모든것이 다 있어요. 강추합니다^^

The room was very dark and dingy. The screen door to the balcony fell off and the balcony was crumbling. The fireplace screen was dirty and rusty, the walls were in need of paint and there were water stains on the bathroom floor. Tried to get my money back and would only refund one night of a two night stay and am still waiting on refund. There are better places to stay for the money.

We were given an wheelchair accessible room that we didn't need. It was a cumbersome room with a huge tiled bathroom that drained into the carpeted sleeping area. When we let them know they could only give us towels to mop up the floor which they said had happened often. The back gate to our private patio had a lock that was unlocked on the street side of the gate so that it felt unsafe. We were expecting something much more luxurious for the price. The location was excellent.

This was the worst stay in Monterey. Ever. I booked an ADA accessible room for 7/19/2023. After dinner we came back to the bathroom leaking into the room. It was late and the young lady at the front desk offered to put down "maintenance towels" on the floor for is to walk over and that she would speak to the manager in the morning about comping the room because I wanted compensation for the room or another room. We were Not Given The Option to get our money back and leave to give other accommodations. I wanted to be a good guest and not make a huge scene late at night. I even AGREED TO NOT USE THE SHOWER so the leak wouldn't get worse. All the while thinking that it was ok to go through all the inconveniences because the hotel was going to make it right in the morning. Big mistake. The manager was a horrible person and said since we agreed to stay and didn't cause a scene that the best he was willing to do was a lousy 15% discount. No apologies, no comp... Nothing except for telling me that because I was a nice person that I'm getting nothing. What a joke! Horrible customer service and zero consideration for the guests when the hotel offers substandard conditions to stay in.
