蒙特雷植樹節旅館(Arbor Inn Monterey)

I booked this motel via trip.com, but during the check in they charged me an additional arbitrary $10 service fee, Despite showing the receipt that the service fee was already paid during the booking. However, trip.com reimbursed me with trip points. The room was small but clean and with coffee maker. The door lock was spooky and wouldn’t open time to time. That could be a problem if it happens during the night as nobody is there to help you.

Clean, comfortable bed, ready check in. AC did not work unfortunately and there wasn't an alarm clock in the room

Very sweet place. Prices can't be beat. Very clean and bed was comfortable. Also, plenty of space.

Nice and clean room, provides microwaves and fridge. Ioved it!

They charged us an additional $18 because our daughter is 17 even though I put her age in the search when looking for a hotel. I feel betrayed.

This hotel is relatively close to the beach and Monterey shops. We did arrive in the morning, so earlier than normal check-in time. The receptionist didn’t allow us to check in to our room early, which was fine-but he was extremely rude about it. He is severely lacking in soft people skills and proper etiquette. They did allow us to park there early (which is a bonus for any hotel located on the California coast) where you can seldom secure free parking. The hotel is older, but it is well-kept and one can tell remodeling has occurred. It is very much a California-looking beach hotel, which was cool for the area. Our room comfortably slept 4 people. We would stay there again.
