For a Fairfield, I was disappointed. I have always had good experiences at Fairfields, and this one changed that. Numerous basic cleanliness issues that should not be happening in a hotel like this. Entire room was very ”thrown together” with multiple pieces of random furniture. Beds were not that nice, air conditioner rattled like a Ford 5.4 3v engine with cam phaser and timing chain issues. When informing the front desk clerk upon checkout, his response was ”again? We just got it fixed!” maintenance issues knock this place down to a 3 star.

It was much cheaper than the HI-Express further down route 80 so i though i'd give it a try. Young guy on check-in was friendly if a little too relaxed. Didn't inform me that breakfast was room service only (found out next morning). Room was dirty, in need of a good vacuum and stains on back of desk chair. Desk table sticky, pretty disgusting but the highlight was the bathroom. No faucets! How did this get past the cleaning team? Was it even cleaned? Young guy on front desk, to his credit, saw the funny side and i got a better room on the 3rd floor which actually looked half clean. And had a faucet! Bar closed on sundays which was disappointing. Bar was open mondays but looked ropey. Overall feel is dated and very 60's. In need of a modernization or maybe change of ownership soon. IHG Spire, stay 200+ nights a year with IHG so i know my stuff. Avoid.
